I started this page in collaboration with a collective of expat families; families who have spent countless years overseas with children of all ages and who have lived in multiple countries. With an extensive travel bank on which to draw upon, with that Expat Dreamers Travel was born.
This group began back in 2014 when 6 Aussie families and 1 crazy English family, who had all joined the same school in Singapore, and during a torrential monsoon rain, on a hot humid evening July, while participating in the children’s schools Art Auction, became life-long mates.
When you are an Expat, the people you meet form a family, these relationships are bonds that are never broken, no matter where you are in the world nor the number of years between BBQ’s, or G&T’s, if you need support of any kind, in any way it is but a phone call away.
Being as fortunate as we were being Expats, being an Expat in Singapore means you are lucky enough to be on the doorstep of world travel. As Singapore is a hub, a central stop for many locations, be it down to Australia or up to the UK or across to Africa. Fortunately, with lots of public holidays and long weekends, you also have the opportunity to enjoy some incredible holidays, whether it be with your immediate family, a group of friends or your own group of ‘Travel Dreamers’, some of the holidays we have been able to enjoy have been off the beaten track, or just something different.
So as a group we have decided to put our holiday itineraries with some photos on a social media platform which we hope, could will help or inspire people in planning their own trips, if you’re looking for something different or even somewhere you may never have thought to visit.
Many of these trips were enjoyed pre-covid, so places affected may have changed or vary slightly, with this in mind we have placed links into our posts so you can directly view websites.
We hope this page gives you some inspiration with your next trip.. Dream on Travellers
