With the Melbourne Cup over for another year, we can give you the opportunity to see what is said to be the world's most beautiful horse - the so-called 'Golden Horse' - aka the Akhal-Teke. The national symbol of Turkmenistan, this sleek and elegant horse is a part of the fabric of the country. We visit a farm where these beautiful creatures strut their stuff for us. Our High Arctic group boarded their ship in Bergen yesterday and are heading north along the Norwegian coastline. Here they are leaving the picturesque town of Alesund.
