This Australian-first experience, created by world-renowned artist Thomas Dambo, was initiated; produced; and managed by us - FORM, from 2019 - November 2023. Over the first 12 months from project launch it significantly boosted the City of Mandurah's economy and showcased what Mandurah has to offer both locals and visitors.
The impact over the first 12 months included but was not limited to:
⭐ 498,000+ visitors to the Giants
⭐ $81 million in direct economic impact to local businesses
⭐ 400% increase in visits to the Mandurah Visitor Centre

We're super excited to share that FORM has been named a National Nominee for the Australian Event Awards and Symposium, in the category of Best Tourism Event, for our work in initiating, producing, delivering and managing Thomas Dambo's Giants of Mandurah. 🎉
It takes a cast of many, and the #giantsofmandurah would not have been possible without the support of our incredible partners, including Tourism Western Australia, the City of Mandurah Visit Mandurah, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Lotterywest and the Alcoa Foundation; George Walley, Trevor Stack, Franklyn Nannup and Winjan Aboriginal Corporation; all the fantastic volunteers involved and the Peel Volunteer Resource Centre; Community groups who provided advice, feedback and opportunities for consultation and collaboration; local business and tour operators who have embraced the Giants; school students from Fairbridge College and Glencoe Primary School who helped create jewellery worn by the Giants; local artist Callum Davies for the time spent documenting and rendering each Giant in 3D and allowing us to use these renders to provide a different perspective and way to view the Giants; the dedicated artist team and, of course, Mr. Thomas Dambo.
We are so grateful to each and every person who has contributed to this project, as well as everyone who has embarked on an epic adventure to discover the magic of the Giants and Mandjoogoordap.
Fingers and toes crossed for next month's announcement of the winners! 🤞
