We were thrilled to welcome Kanto Daichi High School in March. The students had a wonderful experience at Ocean Reef Senior High School, and their teacher, Komori Sensei, was deeply impressed by the hospitality and vibrant community of Perth. The visit to Curtin University was particularly impactful, inspiring two female students to plan to enrol next year.

Motivated by this success, Komori Sensei proposed bringing over 100 students next March, a plan fully supported by the Principal. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Principal James Kent and the staff at Ocean Reef Senior High School for their generosity and leadership. Here are some highlights of Komori Sensei and Principal Oppata’s visit, including their insightful discussions on leadership and vision, and a visit to St Stephen's School.

It’s going to be a great week with 5 Japanese schools landing and enjoying their time in Perth. We're really excited for the arrival of our Kanto Daiichi HS 🇯🇵 students! 🎉 They have a big day planned on Sunday, visiting Kings Park and Caversham Wildlife Park 🦘 before meeting our host families.

💡Did you know that Kanto Daiichi HS is famous for its strong sports clubs? 🏆 Many of their alumni are professional athletes, and they are nationally renowned for their baseball team, representing Tokyo in the National High School Baseball Tournament (KOSHI-EN) many times ⚾.

This week, our Chikuyo Gakuen Junior High School 🇯🇵 students and their Mt Lawley host school buddies were given a personal tour of the City’s Council Chambers by Mark Irwin Mayor and Deputy Mayor and Mt Lawley Ward Councillor Cr Suzanne Migdale- City Of Stirling- Lawley Ward – the place where all the important decisions are made. 🌏🤝

City of Stirling is home to Mount Lawley Senior High School - Official, Scarborough Beach foreshore, the newly opened AJSWA Australia-Japan Society of Western Australia (Inc) Japan Education and Cultural Centre of WA in Tuart Hill and many other amazing places! 🇦🇺
