❗️WARNING❗️If you ask me what my favourite food is, you should be prepared for a long answer!

It is almost impossible to narrow it down to one dish, and my answer will probably vary day to day and week to week 😅

Last week, I probably would have said steak. If you ask me today, it's definitely ramen 🤷‍♂️

What can I say, I just love food!

Come on tour with us and experience some of the very best in Perth. We can debate over a cocktail 🍸

🔊 Quick and easy weeknight chicken curry recipe ⚠️

This recipe we have been busy perfecting can be made in 30 minutes, yes really- it is also sure to be a crowd pleaser!

You will need:

• 500 gram chicken thighs
• 1 brown onion - finely diced
• 3/4 garlic cloves, finely chopped - how garlicky do you like it?
• 2 mushrooms - very finely chopped
• 1 carrot - very finely chopped
• 5 tsp curry powder
• 3/4 tsp each of - turmeric, garam masala, coriander powder, garlic powder, cumin.
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 can coconut milk
• 1 can tin tomato
• Rice for as many mouths as you have to feed!

You will need to do the following:

1. Add the onion, mushroom and carrot to some warm neutral oil and cook for 2/3 minutes until the onion starts to turn translucent.

2. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.

3. Add the chicken and cook until sealed then add all the spices, stir constantly and when fragrant add the tomato paste. Combine well, at this point it should resemble a curry paste.

4. Add the coconut milk and reduce by half, make sure to deglaze the bottom of your pan immediately, then add the can tomato.

5. Cook down until nice and thick, our whole cook was 35 minutes but you can adjust to personal taste. The longer you cook the thicker the sauce.

6. Optional - garnish with fresh chilli, coriander and your favourite indian condiments ( yes they were indeed, microwave popodums!).

Enjoy, this recipe is really quick and easy, let us know what you think!

10 hour slow cooked bbq pork 🫡

We served this beauty of a lunch with salad, jalapenos and whole piquillo peppers on a lightly toasted Turkish roll and it was spectacular 🤤

The pork and salad were leftovers from last night's deliciousness 👌🏻

Recipe for the pork:

• 1 loin pork roast

• 2 heaped tsp mustard powder
• 2 tsp garlic powder
• 2 tsp dried oregano
• 2 tsp paprika
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1 heaped tsp salt
• 1 heaped tsp pepper

• 3 cloves garlic or 3/4 tsp minced garlic
• 1 generous tbsp butter or dairy free substitute

• 200ml beef stock

•2 tbsp cornflour

Method:

•Remove the skin and most of the fat from the meat, put to one side - our go to at the moment is to make air fryer pork crackling with this 😍

•Combine the herbs and spices well and rub onto all parts of the meat, get into the nooks and crannies. Warm a little oil in a frying pan over a high heat, seat the pork on all sides - be careful not to burn the meat rub.

•Carefully transfer to a slow cooker, if you don't have one anyway based oven proof pot would work.

•Add the butter to the frying pan and turn the heat to low, once melted add the garlic and saute until fragrant and pour over the pork.

•Add the beef stock around the sides of the meat - don't pour over the top because you will wash the garlic off!

•Cook on low for at least 8 hours, 10 is perfect.

•Remove the pork and place on a large chopping board, pull apart with two forks and loosely cover with aluminium foil.

•Transfer all the juices to a sauce pan over a medium heat and add the cornflour roux, get the sauce really thick.

•Pour the sauce over the meat, 1/4 at a time, mixing it through each time... And voila - juicy succulent pork that's a sure fire winner for just about any occasion!

Let us know what you think 😀

WE LOVE LOCAL! Whether it's visiting only local, independently owned venues on our tours or sourcing the best local ingredients to eat, we are passionate about WA produce.... because it's amazing ✨

Today's brunch was made with Gingin eggs and avocados 🥑 (we even picked them ourselves), bread from the bakery around the corner and tomatoes 🍅 from our garden 🤩

Oh and yes, the eggs were runny - we promise!

10 hour slow cooked pork shoulder in a Turkish roll for lunch? Yes please! We took inspiration from for this one and added some tweaks of our own ✨

It's no secret that we love to eat food... But we really love to grow as much as we can too! It helps with our personal sustainability goals 🌎and it also helps to teach our children the importance of growing your own food if you can 🌱

These pumpkin plants are seeds from a shop bought pumpkin we made soup with a few weeks ago, all you need is:

•Ziplock bags
•Damp paper towel
•Seeds from the fruit and veggies you eat!

Open up the damp paper towel, place the seeds in the middle and fold the paper towel over. Carefully place them inside a ziplock bag, zip it up and find a sunny window for the magic to happen ✨🌞

Not all of the seeds will germinate and some will take longer than others! Once germinated plant out and make sure they don't get too much sun for the first week as this will burn the seedlings! Enjoy!

We do love a quick and easy lunch time meal and you just can't beat chicken wings! ✨❤️
We've spent years working on our dry rub mix and now the secret is out! Checkout our recipe below ⬇️and let us know what you think in the comments!

2 Tsp Smoked Paprika
2 Tsp Onion Powder
2 Tsp Garlic Powder
2 Tsp Paprika
1 Tsp Oregano
1 Tsp Mustard Powder
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Pepper
1 Tsp (loaded) Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Hot Chilli Powder (optional).

Combine in a bowl and sprinkle over a lightly oiled pack of wing nibbles in a mixing bowl.

Cover and return to the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Place wings on a lined baking tray and cook in a pre heated oven at 180c for 35 - 45 minutes (longer gets more crunch just watch out not to burn them!)

Quick, simple and delicious! Oh and why the cucumber?! We didn't have any celery 🤦🏼‍♂️
