Having a little break and entered Charlie Brown and Scooter in the high jump at the #Man The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival 2023. So much fun and Scooter had the crowd laughing and Charlie Brown had them cheering. Scooter scored a big bag of dog food, food bowls, a collar and a couple of packs of worm tablets 😳. Charlie Brown jumped 1.8m and said that’s enough, winners got to 2m.
Agility Fun - At the beginning and end of a visit down the South Coast I took the boys to some Agility Trials.
At Canberra Colonsay Charlie, ‘Charlie Brown’ (a very tall Kelpie), achieved a 5th and Clear Round in Open - and at Robertson a 1st in 600 JDX and a clear round in Open Jumping.
Scooter - a crazy Jack Russell Terrier tends to enjoy life a bit too much! - LOL, and figures people put those obstacles up just for fun, and the numbers they put at each jump are just decorative! But, this aside, he managed to settle for 1 event and won by a country mile at Robertson amid much cheering, whether the spectators were cheering because he stayed in the ring and completed the course, or, because he was blistering fast? It was super exciting.
A little about Dog Agility, - it’s a great fun sport, and keeps me moving, mentally and physically. Dogs compete depending on their height and progress in difficulty through the grades, needing to achieve the required number of qualifying clear runs before progressing to the next level. It’s really simple to load your dog, a little equipment and food and join other positive folk having fun and competing with their dogs. - what do you get for your efforts? A great connection with your dog, and maybe a bit of cardboard and a pretty ribbon. 🥰. And the support of the rest of the Agility Community.
I’m very fortunate to have a delightful, talented and patient coach at Orange.
The video is @Niki Drage giving Charlie a training run yesterday after I’d run out of puff.

Georgie Pig, you were exceptional this morning, it’s a loooong time since you have done “go around, spins and sits and shakes “ all together 😳💕. Oh what a pig! Thank you.
If you would like to meet Georgie Pig please come along for a Farm Experience Visit. 💕

Lambing time.
Retiring?……maybe just Long Service Leave for the summer months and have a restructure then! 😜 Grace is keen to continue Farm Visits and everyone loves Grace.🥰
Thank goodness it hasn’t rained today! A big and beautiful Supercars crowd coping with a bit of mud! I tongue-in-cheek made the comment, “we’ll be ok, we’ve got a big tractor”! Farmer Ken spending the day pulling caravans, cars and campers to sites and spreading a big load of blue metal onto the track.
Teaching Marshmallow the lamb a bit of Dog Agility
