Lance Murray Quality Homes is a family owned and operated business located in the picturesque Hunter Valley. LMQH is a multi-award winning business with an experienced team and has been operating for over 20 years. With an unwavering passion for building sophisticated custom built homes, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic carpenter to join the team.
You will be working on large architecturally built, custom homes from beginning to the end. Working alongside Lance and the team of skillful tradesmen.
What are we looking for?

• We are seeking a motivated individual to join out team
• Upholding our quality and excellence on the architecturally designed homes
• Working apart of a close-nit team
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• A positive can-do- attitude
• Proven ability to complete the day-to-day jobs of a qualified carpenter
• Working apart of a team as well as the ability to work autonomously
• Strong technical aptitude and an eye for detail

What do you need?
• Certificate III in Carpentry
• Previous experience in building homes
• Current Drivers License
• Necessary tools and equipment

⚫️ MEET THE TEAM – LANCE MURRAY – Owner/Qualified Builder ⚫️

Tell us a bit about yourself and how long have you been working with LMQH?

Hi, I’m Lance Murray, and welcome to Lance Murray Quality Homes. I have always dreamt of building homes that stand out from the ordinary, with more luxurious with timeless designs.
During my apprenticeship and for some time after I worked with some of the best builders in the Hunter Valley. At a young age I developed the skills and realised I had an overwhelming passion of building homes of the highest quality. In 1996 I started Lance Murray Quality Homes, this was the year my passion turned into reality.

What is your favourite part about building a new home?
My favourite part of building is getting up every morning with a plan of what we are going to do, and accomplishing that goal, and being apart of a great team of blokes who are also excellent in what they do. I’ve always said and truly believe in the saying “find a job that you love and you’ll never go to work again” it’s a passion not a job.

What do you think is the best part of being a builder?
My passion for building allows me to enjoy every step of the build, from working with the clients to build their dream home, to the planning, organising, working with all different tradesman, and bringing all together for the client. There is not better feeling than seeing the it all come together and the clients gratitude of their quality built home.

What are your hobbies?
I’ve always enjoyed having a laugh and hanging out with my wife, friends and family.
One of my great hobbies was raising our two daughters, and now that they are grown up, they have turned out smarter than me.

Tell us a fun fact about you that not many people know?
I got my first grey hair when I was 16, before I met my wife 🤣

🔶 MEET THE TEAM – ZEB DUNSTAN – Qualified Carpenter🔶

Tell us a bit about yourself and how long have you been working with LMQH?
Hi, I’m Zeb and I’m 29 years old. I have a beautiful wife and daughter. I have been working at LMQH for just over a year now.

What is your favourite part about building a new home?
I really like the frame up stage of building a home, whether it be standing frames, piecing it together or stick building.
I also love the versatility and doing something different everyday.

What do you think is the best part of being a builder?
The best part of being a builder is learning. There’s more than one way to do things and everyone does things differently. You can find the best way that works for you and still be open to try another way.
Since a very young age I have wanted to be a builder, I remember I use to tinker with my pops tools around the house.

What are your hobbies?
Family time, rugby league, horse racing, home renovations and golf

Tell us a fun fact about you that not many people know?
That I am the best golfer at LMQH (this was proven at the Xmas party).

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
Super speed, to be able to do a quality job to the high standard even quicker. And maybe rob a bank 🤣

Tell us a bit about yourself and how long have you been working with LMQH?
Hi I’m Logan, I am 21 years old. I’m currently working towards buying my own home. I have been working here for about 5.5 years now.

What is your favourite part about building a new home?
Would have to be the fix out and handover

What do you think is the best part of being a builder?
Being able to walk onto an empty block and staying there until a quality home is created. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and creating quality products.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoying going to the gym, motorbike riding, and boxing

Tell us a fun fact about you that not many people know?
Carpentry has been my first and only job.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
Speed, being able to do my job as fast as possible without compromising quality.

Tell us a bit about yourself and how long have you been working with LMQH?
Hi, my name is Liam. I have been working with Lance for 12 years (the best 12 years of my life)

What is your favourite part about building a new home?
My favourite part would have to be the smiles and enjoyment from the clients during and after projects.

What do you think is the best part of being a builder?
Best part of being a builder is learning the skillset and being able to apply it to all aspects of life.

What are your hobbies?
I do a bit of motorbike riding and MORE BUILDING

Tell us a fun fact about you that not many people know?
I haven’t had a haircut since I started working with Lance

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
To be able to fly, because it would make working at heights a lot easier
