Exciting news!

School Holiday Cockle Trains are almost here and we something special in store...

Our steam loco 621 will be making its way down south these holidays to take charge of Cockle Train operations, from Sunday the 29th!

Over each day of the school holidays, from September 28th to October 13th, Cockle Trains will operate 3 return trips from Goolwa and 2 return trips from Victor Harbor.

Tickets can only be bought on the day of travel, from our tickets officers at either the Victor Harbor, Port Elliot, or Goolwa Stations.
If you wish to join the train at Middleton, you must see the ticket officer at your destination station before making your return trip.

How to have a happy Father’s Day!

This Father’s day, every Father Figure onboard The Highlander will receive a free Cockle Train ticket!

Trains will depart Mount Barker at 9:30am & 2pm and Strathalbyn at 11:30am and 4pm*
* This train is one way and will not return to Strathalbyn.

Tickets are:
Adult: $42
Senior: $38
Child: $21
Family: $108 (2 Adults & 2 Kids)

The forecast for Victor Harbor, on Tuesday January 23rd is 37° and in accordance with SteamRanger’s hot weather policy, tomorrow’s Cockle Trains services will be cancelled, in the interest of health and safety for our volunteer crews.

Cockle Trains will resume on Wednesday the 24th of January when the weather cools down.
