Multiple vents along a fissure erupting basalt that flowed like a river to Port Fairy.

An amazing display of the Aurora Australis in Port Fairy last night!

I'm creating a short film which will be shown at the upcoming Port Fairy Adventure Film Festival! I'm shooting time-lapses to help convey the passing of time since 37,000 years ago the volcano that is Tower Hill had a huge eruption!

The film concentrates on the geological, ecological and cultural importance of this Tower Hill and the Belfast Coastal Reserve

I've really enjoyed learning so much and filming the legendary Singer / Songwriter SHANE HOWARD - GOANNA, Author Jock Serong and Indigenous Tour Guide Jackie Spencer just to name a few.

Massive thank you to Geologist and Geotours Guide Mike Raetz who helped make this happen and to Community Bank Port Fairy & District, Port Fairy and Region Visitor Information Centre and the Fletcher Jones Community Trust.

Looks like Sunday is a good day to join us for a 'Tag Along' Port Fairy Rock Detective Tour. Leaving 10am from the Port Fairy Visitor Information Center. You will discover the river of lava along the shore and the record of past sea levels in our town. 🌤

At 1pm we are also running to the Budj Bim National Park to explore this lava Volcano.
