Happy 8th Birthday to us.

8 years ago today, Andrea and I started operations as the owners of Hastings Shuttle Service.

It has been a whirlwind time that has flown by, including the COVID period. , We have made it this far and now own 3 Mercedes vehicles and keep a couple of owner drivers happy as well.

Our thanks to the many of you who have supported us and look forward to continuing to meet or exceed your expectations into the future.

I have asked a few times for someone to make a valid case to vote NO. The closest I have got is "we don't want those people representing us".

This is a reason to change HOW the Voice operates (easy to do with this proposal) but not a reason to vote against it.

Keep hearing that Albanese is dividing the country on the Voice debate. So here’s a little history lesson…
In 2015 the Coalition government under Malcolm Turnbull announced - to much fanfare - that they were undertaking the largest study of the underlying reasons behind indigenous disadvantage. Time to listen to them, they bragged.
The outcomes of that enquiry were many and varied, but primary amongst them was that political influence was tainting the opinions of the indigenous people, and that an indigenous voice free from political interference should be established.
And what did that boastful government do? They refused to accept the recommendations of the body they established as part of their “new” approach. And for the next six years it was business as usual…and nothing meaningful was achieved to close the gap.
THAT is why we are having a referendum.
What do you make of a political organisation that claims to want to improve the lot of the disadvantaged but won’t lift a finger to do so?
And THAT is why we have such a pack of outrageous lies being used by the No campaign; the truth would be too hard to face…
