NORTH BROTHER ROAD CLOSURE - 24TH AUG ⛔

We are undertaking some vegetation works on Captain Cook Bicentennial Rd to clear the vegetation that is impeding on the traffic lanes.

Ideally, we would have completed the vegetation works at the same time as the previous road works so as not to close the road again. But this work requires a certain type of machine and unfortunately the contractors machine was not available at that time.

The details are:
⚠️Full road closure from the corner of Koonwarra St, however residents can still access properties if/as required.

⏰ Road closure will be from 6:30am till 3:30pm.🚶‍♂️ The walking trail will remain open.

We will open the road prior to 3.30pm if the works are completed early.

COASTAL WALK ACCESS CLOSURES

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will start works to repair sections of the Port Macquarie Coastal Walk tomorrow, which is likely to last about eight weeks. The works will include:

🛠️Construction of a new elevated staircase to Miners Beach on the Miners Beach Track, including new lookout platforms.

🛠️Erosion, drainage and surface repairs to the southern section of the Coastal Trail from Miners Beach to Lighthouse Road.

As a result of these repairs, the coastal walk will be closed between Miners Beach and Lighthouse Road from tomorrow, Monday 20 June to Friday 24 June.

Miners Beach Track will be closed until mid-August for construction of the new elevated staircase.
