"Just returned from a 21 days Namibia self drive adventure. The human and nature landscapes of this country are amazing and the organizational talent and dedication of Linda and Mike even more so. Everything was planned and executed to the last detail without any errors, re-routing and 'Change of plan'. SDA is a professional, experienced company which operates and books all accommodation and transport themselves (not just representing of a local tour company) with 'Dynamite Linda' tirelessly in control all the time. If you plan to travel in a small group self drive accommodated tour, look no further."

Samburu is just one of our destinations. Here you will mainly find open grasslands populated by oryx, giraffe, lions, zebras and other wild animals. However, it is particularly famous for the large herds of elephants and the Nile crocodiles that live on the banks of the Uaso Nyeru. It is named after the Samburu ethnic group, who live mainly north of the equator in Kenya.

Was great to hear about this project in Namibia. We look forward to helping with supplying more photos from our next adventures!

Termite mounds provide good vantage points in scrubland and the two Hartmann’s mountain zebra taking this opportunity in western Etosha are young bachelor males. The right hand animal, ETR1349m, was born in 2021 and the one on the left probably a year later. This beautiful photograph was taken by Linda Schlencker of Self Drive Adventures (https://www.selfdriveadventures.com) who include Etosha NP in their guided tours. Photo © Linda Schlencker.

Our first conservation activity was on a wild dog research project in Kruger National Park. We were able to see two packs up close in the park. Fascinating to hear how much technology is playing a role in conservation and was amazing to spend the day learning about this project.

We must admit that being off the grid for a while in Mozambique has been fun! But we are a little behind with our posts. Getting across the the border was an adventure, changing money at the petrol station first, a bit of rain to keep us fresh, collecting some meat from Moz Meats in Maputo, the capital, and having our first ever capital city recovery ever. There has been a big unseasonal storm so water everywhere. This led to us winching out a car, right next to the highway with a bunch of friendly locals helping us get the car out…. The day ended at a lovely campsite in Maputo National Park.
