Port Neill Primary School and Playcentre

Port Neill Primary School and Playcentre Port Neill is a rural primary school set in an idyllic location on the Lower Eyre Peninsula coastline.

Port Neill is a small rural primary school set in an idyllic location on the Lower Eyre Peninsula coastline. The town of Port Neill has changed over the years from being a service centre for the surrounding farming areas, and is now predominately a holiday and retirement centre set on a picturesque bay. The school has enviable facilities and resources, with pleasant, spacious and practical learnin

g areas. A new classroom was provided during 2010 under the Commonwealth Building the Education Revolution funding. There is 1:1 ratio of students to laptops, a wireless broadband network, and interactive whiteboard technology is in use. Video Conferencing facilities assist in delivering Indonesian Language lessons to students through blended learning. The school has a friendly, family atmosphere and a strong rapport between staff, students and parents. Due the low student to teacher ratio, early intervention to provide targeted assistance to all students is possible. A particular strength of the school is the ability to cater for individual differences and develop individualized programs for every student, addressing their needs in a comprehensive manner. The school is an integral part of the Port Neill community with regular social events bringing the community together.

🌟 Let’s kick off our FAQ series with "What's eligible for the CU Passport?” 🌟

For those who may not know, only 'validated' activities can be added to the Passport. This means that the activities have been officially approved by CU to ensure they provide rich learning experiences for children. 📚

It's also worth noting that these activities need to be voluntary and held in extra-curricular spaces like recess, lunch, before/after school, weekends, and during school holidays. You can easily find all the approved activities on the CU Portal 🌐 or reach out to your CU Coordinator for more information regarding in-school activities. 🏫

Don't worry if you're unsure if your child is completing validated activities already; things like sports ⚽, music lessons 🎵, and language classes 🗣️ often count towards this. 🏅

One thing to remember is that once your child completes an approved activity, they'll need to present their Passport to the Learning Destination or your CU Coordinator to receive a stamp. Parents and carers should avoid completing the Passport themselves. 🌈

Please pop by the school if you would like a hard copy of the order form 😀
