Keep an eye on your mail box as Qantas begin issuing complimentary luggage tags to millions of its frequent flyers next month, with the fashionable tags colour-coded to reflect a traveller’s status.
The new-look Qantas Luggage Tags replace the iconic Q Bag Tags launched in 2010, although they lack the RFID technology through which those palm-sized discs streamlined the process of checking luggage onto a flight.
In fact, these slim new luggage tags aren’t meant for checked luggage at all (although you can continue to use your existing Q Bag Tags for bag drop functionality on domestic flights.

Scenic Eclipse II arrived in Sydney this weekend and for the first time a discovery yacht built by Australian maritime design pioneer Glen Moroney has docked on home shores. (The Moroney family, a Scenic, a household name for its luxurious river cruises)
The Eclipse II has helicopters, submarines and, of course, all the accoutrements of ultra-lux vessels. Two onboard helicopters and a submarine unlock hidden coves and pristine coral reefs inaccessible to traditional cruise ships. Humor me and be patient while I climb up onto my soap box. This maybe controversial but I’m willing to make comment.

A quick 2 nights on the the Gold Coast and I’m struggling to deal with 4 days of Easter surcharge on everything, 15-20%
Now don’t get me wrong we are a small family run business and I’m acutely aware of the struggles each business has, but what gets me is each cafe, restaurant and bar that we frequented were packed full with happy holiday makers and happy to pay the surcharge but those holiday makers struggle to pay a service fee to us as a travel agent to quote a complicated itinerary, help them book their travel, or look for amazing airfares, hotels, tours etc etc 🤔

By the way, beautiful breakfast with a view at the Kurrawa. Beach Surf Club and no surcharge😜
