This is a post for everyone that likes to buy fish.
These eyes aren't starting to go pearly, they were gutted, gilled and scaled in seawater while alive. Then quickly chilled for 6 1/2 days in the bag!!! Opening and smelling the bag, I wouldn't eat them, they will go in the garden but on a display case at the supermarket they look fine still... So I guess the lesson is source local supplier, if you don't fish. Go on a fishing Charter, have some fun , bring home some freshly caught fish. They will taste better than bought fish.Or you may be buying a fish from market, that is a week old..... or more.
