Glamping at The Quince Cottage 🍈
These beautiful tents were set up for guests of one of our most recent events at The Quince Cottage and we couldn't have been happier with the result (& this is before the luxury bedding was added!)
Equal parts glam and camping, the modern-day variation bridges the hotel room-tent similarity gap with its best-of-both-worlds charm featuring the proximity to nature minus the sacrifice of your favourite creature comforts. It makes for the perfect additional guest accommodation.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑸𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒆 ✨
In a sweet, suburban pocket of the nearby city of Toowoomba is a most unexpected delight - Ju Raku En - Australia's largest traditionally designed Japanese stroll garden 🌳
'Ju Raku En' roughly translates as 'to enjoy peace and longevity in a public place'. And we think that is a very fitting description - in fact, this may just be our new favourite Toowoomba picnic spot!
Find yourself spotting swans, ducks, geese and smaller natives among the Japanese maples and - in spring - the stunning lilac blossoms 🌸

𝑩𝒆𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆
It certainly took us a little while - and a lot of brainstorming sessions over coffee (!) - to decide on the perfect name for our special little pocket of the world.
When we first saw the cottage, we fell in love with its playful colour, but could never quite find the right way to describe it.
It was yellow but not lemon, green but not lime. It was quince – the humble cousin of the apple and pear and the key ingredient of our family’s favourite condiment – quince jam!
And so, our little sweet little house on the mountain officially became “The Quince Cottage” and we have loved it all the more ever since.
