Fire crews are currently battling a grass and scrub fire at Robe, with a "Watch and Act - Leave Now" warning message issued.

At 12:46pm today emergency services were alerted to a fire in the area of the Southern Ports Highway and Eliza Lane at Robe.

Shortly after, all aircraft assigned to the fire were released as they were told they weren't required due to the fire being a permitted burn-off.

At 1:59pm crews were called in again when the fire jumped containment lines and was burning out of control.

The fire is currently burning in a north easterly direction towards the Southern Ports Highway and Old Naracoorte Road.

A warning has been issued for those in the pictured warning area to leave now, as this fire may threaten your safety. Those leaving are advised to ensure the path is clear and go to a safer place. Those nearby are advised not to enter the area as conditions are dangerous.

There are 'those' beachside shacks in Robe that are everyones favourite and Beachside Cottage is the Queen of them! This two bedroom property sits at the top of Robes famous Long Beach and looks directly down it's infinite waves. There is nothing between you and the sparking, white caps except a cruisy, one-way street.

Daily walks, envigorating dips, salt air, the occasional surf school, and all the sunrises you could possibly handle.

We love a good breakfast and if you are out and about in Robe then you are spoilt for choice!! Eveyone likes a little treat in the mornings and here are our favourites:

🍌 - offshoot of Salubrious Hour clothing and retail these guys do a very++ generous Acai Bowl or smoothie for breakfast on the move.

β˜•οΈ.sa - Mahalia Coffees home town Robe Store. For a breakfast with a little glitter surrounded by all that sparkles and arguably THE nations best coffee.

🍳 - A local favourite for its generous proportions, great options, friendly service and, we think, the best hash browns in the world.

🍞 - If you are looking to grab and go then you can't go past a Ned Kelly pie and an iced coffee. Maybe squirrel away a choccy donut for laters.🀭

πŸ₯‘ - Another favourite with local families for its generous wind protected outdoor space and lawned area. We personally love the Vegetarian option with Halloumi but the Corn Fritters are bang on as well.

There are more options available and we have by no means covered everything!! If you've got a favourite morning 'must have' treat in Robe SA, we'd love to hear about it 😍.

Happyshack have been helping families and friends make holiday memories in Robe for over fifteen years. Our daughters, mothers and grand mothers have lived, laughed and loved in Robe and we think it's one of the most special places on earth.
