DAY 3 and 4 - Jacaranda tour

We had a great time exploring Yamba with an expert guide taking us around Yamba before we boarded the ferry for a cruise to Iluka.
After exploring Iluka, we were spoilt with a great lunch at the Harwood hotel afterwards.

Coming back to Yamba after lunch, we met our guide from the morning at the Yamba museum to learn of the towns rich and diverse history and enjoy the hospitality of Anne and Geoff and staff for a lovely afternoon tea.

We headed back to our motel to freshen up and enjoy our last dinner together at the Country Club.

Our final day today saw us back to Grafton to visit Dorothy and Don Enders at their gorgeous property Lanbruk’s Gunyah. What an amazing antique collection to browse through with lots of friendly animals to hang out with. We were spoilt with their country hospitality with a delicious morning tea.

Back into Grafton to enjoy a little more of the festival, including a historic car display before starting our journey home.

As we head back down the highway relaxing on the coach, arriving home we have new friends and so many memories to happily reflect on.

Day2 -Grafton Jacaranda Festival

What a perfect weather day it was to start our trip across to Grafton after breakfast overlooking the marina at Yamba.

Grafton was not only buzzing with bees in the flowering Jacaranda trees but was a hive of visitors, including us, all exploring the markets and taking in the natural beauty for hours , along with the lovely old buildings of Grafton.

Special mention to Marie, who was a fantastic guide for our bus tour around Grafton. Super knowledgeable and lovely to have on-board. What she didn’t know about Grafton, wasn’t worth knowing!

We are so lucky to have these beautiful towns on our doorstep to travel to and see in all their glory with the festivals they work so hard to put together for our enjoyment.

We’ve packed again and departed yesterday with our guests for our 4 day Grafton Jacaranda Festival tour.

Leaving bright and early we headed north through to Coffs Harbour to the Clog Barn for morning tea and a display of clog making and a wander through the miniature Dutch village.

We travelled to Bruxner Park, driving up through banana plantations and avocado groves to the Forest Sky Pier, located on an escarpment 310 metres above Coffs Harbour offering beautiful views to the coast.

From here we headed to the coastal town of Woolgoolga where we had lunch as well as a visit to the Sikh Temple and learnt all their history in the heritage museum on site.

We finished the day at the quaint sea side town of Yamba which will be our base for the trip, enjoying dinner together at the Golf and Country Club.
Off to Grafton tomorrow…..

Metallica has confirmed that its record-breaking M72 World Tour will be coming to Australia and New Zealand in November of 2025.
Port Bus has your seat!
Get your name on the list now.

This leg of the M72 World Tour will see the band visit stadiums in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland. These dates will feature Metallica performing at the end of each stadium and will include the infamous Snake Pit extending from the front of the stage.

There will be a full complement of Enhanced Experiences available, ranging from access to a meet and greet, production and stage tour, food and beverage in the “Black Box” lounge, early entry into the venue, and the aforementioned Snake Pit. The very popular “I Disappear Ticket” will also be available, which enables fans to attend to all six shows in Australia and New Zealand, and travel packages including tickets and hotel will be available in four of the six cities.

Support on M72’s 2025 Australia/New Zealand shows will come from Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies.
