What separates me from other travel agents?

A good travel agent can be hard to find. I believe what sets apart a good travel agent from an average one, is their personal approach and investment in your travels.

A typical travel agency is only open during the hours of 9-5. With the understanding that most people work during those hours, I often meet my clients after those hours or on weekends, which my clients find far more accommodating. I like to work around my clients' own schedules when possible.

Not only this, but I like to think my kind-natured personality and immaculate attention to detail is what attracts many of my clients. I pride myself in ensuring nothing is overturned and everything is planned to perfection.

I’d love nothing more than to help you plan your next dream holiday. Where do you next want to jet off to?

Who’s got a pre-trip routine? I sure do!

Here’s my essential 5 step routine, pre-trip:

1️⃣ Movement the day before or day of, if possible.

I try to move my body as much as possible in the lead up to a long flight, as I’ll be seated for an abnormally extended period of time. It prevents me from becoming too restless while up in the air. Walk. Run. Pilates. Gym. Any movement helps.

2️⃣ Pack early

There’s nothing worse than having to duck to the shops because you’ve forgotten travel items. Or having to cull your suitcase because it’s overweight. I’ve travelled enough times now to know to always be overprepared.

3️⃣ Eat the rainbow!

Once the journey begins to my end destination, I often find that I don’t eat the healthiest foods, as much as I try. Before a flight I like to ensure I load my body up with whole foods. Not only does it make my body feel good but it fuels me with the energy required for long hauls.

4️⃣ Drink lots of fluids beforehand!

I think we all underestimate how dehydrated we actually become on flights. In a 10 hour flight you can lose up to 1.5-2L of water. CRAZY. According to the World Health Organisation, you should drink at least 250ml of water per hour on a flight and try to avoid caffeine, alcohol and sugary drinks as they can dehydrate and disrupt your sleep cycle.

5️⃣ Go to bed early

Jet lag. Many say it’s a choice. But I believe, one way or another it always catches up to you. You know what they say, you can’t catch up on sleep. So while you can, get those early nights in before your travels start. Trust me, you’re going to need all the sleep you can get.

I think the best part about Europe and the USA is that so many countries neighbour one another, meaning you can tick off visiting multiple countries over just a few days! How great is that!

If you’re looking for a family holiday that’s more on the side of luxury, and you’re wanting to splurge on your accommodation, I’ve put together a list of some stunning hotels to stay at in Mallorca that will not disappoint.

Gone are the days of printing out an itinerary, did you know you can now share your flight details with anyone on the Messages app on your iPhone?

There is a flight tracker built into iMessages on the Messages app, that allows the person you send it to, to view the details of your flight.

All you need to do is send the flight number to a friend or family and you will notice the flight number becomes underlined and turns tappable.

When your friend or family member taps on the flight number, it will allow them to preview your flight including:
✈️ Your flights current progress
✈️ When your plane is arriving
✈️ The duration of the flight
✈️ Even the baggage claim number

Buenos dìas… who’s up for a ride?

I’ve got to say, Spain is calling meeee. Who else is feeling drawn to immerse themselves in the crazy colour that is Spain?

I’m talking Sangria’s on the beach, fiery flamenco dancing, breathtaking mosques, spectacular Spanish sunsets, landscapes dotted with white washed houses, iconic fountains and feasting on the world’s finest paella.

Hop your way through the Greek Islands 🇬🇷

Picture deep blue waters, silky sand beaches, the warmth of the blazing hot sun on your skin, iconic white and blue architecture, vibrant nightlife, street markets and eating the freshest produce … how can you say no?

The best time to travel Greece is during the ‘shoulder seasons’ meaning from April- mid June or from September-October. During this season the weather is warm but not unbearable, and there are less tourists meaning you can enjoy your time without having to avoid the crowds.

I recommend making sure you spend at least 3 nights on each island to truly immerse yourself in the culture and get the most out of your experience. This will also allow for down time to relax… hopping around can be tiring!

The best island group to visit is the Cyclades, which include Mykonos, Paros, Santorini and Ios.

If you’re embarking on your hot girl Euro summer this year and hopping around Greece’s islands here are some of my hot travel tips:

🇬🇷 Get around the islands using ferries. Travel time ranges from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Use the ferries in Greece tracker. It’s a live ferry that’s updated before the port, visit https://i.mtr.cool/hihojqytjf

🇬🇷 Taxis are hard to get. I recommend booking transfers to the port/airports

🇬🇷 Driving is a great option to make your way around Greece. Bonus: if you have a Aussie driver’s license you don’t need an international license to drive in Greece!

While Greek Island hopping requires a bit of moving around, it’s totally worth it and if you want someone to do all the organising, you know where to find me ☺️

SOLO TRAVEL TIPS

As much as I love painting a picture of all the luxury escapes, group party trips and adventures you’ll have on your time away, nothing is more important than keeping fresh in your mind travel tips to keep you safe, especially as a solo traveller. Here’s a few of my MUST-DO’s when travelling solo:

✈️ Never tell your transport driver that you are travelling alone
✈️ Share your itinerary with someone at home! It’s always a good idea to have someone know where you’ll be on what dates and where you are staying
✈️ Make sure you have data or a travel SIM, this will ensure you will always have access to maps and be able to contact hotels or friends and family
✈️ Put an air tag in your luggage in case it becomes lost luggage
✈️ Learn the local language, key phrases are useful to help you in emergency situations or for when you need to ask for help

When you visit the Amalfi Coast and skip places like these just 5 hours away…

Tropea is drop dead gorgeous. Never overlook the quieter, less ‘popular’ towns, this is often where you’ll find the most magic.

While visiting iconic spots in Italy, including the Amalfi, Positano, Capri and Lake Como are bucket list moments, make sure to add to your list smaller towns such as Tropea.

Tropea is home to crystal blue beaches that are much less crowded than the hot spots. Hire a boat or a yacht and cruise your way around the Coast of the Gods, book a cooking class in the Tropean countryside, parasail over the beaches, or simply pull up a spot on one of the gorgeous coastlines and settle in with a book and drinks on hand.

Tropea has a trio of its own beaches that I would recommend visiting first before venturing to the north and south beaches. These include:

If you’re looking for a family holiday that’s more on the side of luxury, and you’re wanting to splurge on your accommodation, I’ve put together a list of some stunning hotels to stay at in Mallorca that will not disappoint. I’ve split them up into regions and pricing with $$ for luxury stays and $ for mid-range stays. Compared to June-August, considerably the most popular time to visit and when the weather is still blazing hot. Life is short, the world is wide, go make some memories with your family in SPAIN…. And why not do it in style?

Hop your way through the Greek Islands 🇬🇷 Picture deep blue waters, silky sand beaches, the warmth of the blazing hot sun on your skin, iconic white and blue architecture, vibrant nightlife, street markets and eating the freshest produce … how can you say no? The best time to travel Greece is during the ‘shoulder seasons’ meaning from April- mid June or from September-October. During this season the weather is warm but not unbearable, and there are less tourists meaning you can enjoy your time without having to avoid the crowds. I recommend making sure you spend at least 3 nights on each island to truly immerse yourself in the culture and get the most out of your experience. This will also allow for down time to relax… hopping around can be tiring! The best island group to visit is the Cyclades, which include Mykonos, Paros, Santorini and Ios. If you’re embarking on your hot girl Euro summer this year and hopping around Greece’s islands here are some of my hot travel tips: 🇬🇷 Get around the islands using ferries. Travel time ranges from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Use the ferries in Greece tracker. It’s a live ferry that’s updated before the port, visit https://i.mtr.cool/hihojqytjf 🇬🇷 Taxis are hard to get. I recommend booking transfers to the port/airports 🇬🇷 Driving is a great option to make your way around Greece. Bonus: if you have a Aussie driver’s license you don’t need an international license to drive in Greece! While Greek Island hopping requires a bit of moving around, it’s totally worth it and if you want someone to do all the organising, you know where to find me ☺️ Don’t forget to tag me in all your Greek Island adventures this summer!
