Bruny Island Lighthouse Tours Australia’s southern most lighthouse tour Experience the Southern most lighthouse tour in Australia. Cape Bruny Lighthouse is the only lighthouse in Southern Tasmania opened to the public and tours are operated by Bruny Island Safaris. Towering above the spectacular rugged coastline on the southern tip of Bruny Island with sweeping views of the wild Southern Ocean. Regular sightings of migrating whales, Albatross, Gannets and many other pelagic species can be seen gliding over the ocean swells. We have even had a wedge Tailed Eagle glide so close to the tower we could almost touch it. There are great photo opportunities at every point of the compass. Climb the spiral staircase to the lighthouse balcony and experience the spectacular vistas of the South West Wilderness and small islands dotting the coastline. The lighthouse prisms are still in working order and amazing to wonder what it was like to be a lighthouse keeper.
