Dreaming of warmer days and some more Barra action

HUNDREDS of DEAD MULLOWAY ! Here we go again ! This time it’s hundreds of dead Mulloway from the mid nth coast. Another Black water fish kill . All the studies, reports , science etc has been done,but no action has been taken . Who’s to blame ? National parks ? Dpi, govt management, council or the dpi Minister. All of the above. This is preventable ! Rec anglers take has been reduced so as to take the pressure off Mulloway. But govt buerocracy at it’s finest allows a whole generation of recruitent Mulloway to perish . If you are a passionate rec angler , a commercial fisher or just someone who cares for the envioment , contact your local member , write to the dpi Minister or share this on socials. These fish kills are constantly decimating our fish stocks The elections are around the corner Make your vote count. Looking more like a missile than a mackerel. A quick swim to revive and he was on his way .

We were off Breaksea Spit and spotted this guy. Thought we had a swordfish at first but ended up being a Great Hammer . Such a different temperament to our common hammers off Nsw inshore reefs. Definitely not shy !
