Humpback Whale Mugging!!
A mugging is where the whales come to, and swim around the boat in super close proximity. We managed to turn our engines off and float with these whales for over 40mins yesterday enjoying their curious behaviour.

Captured onboard today’s cruise! 😍

Headed out this morning for a whale watching cruise as weather looked good. Humpback Whales migrated up then down the East Coast of Australia between June through October. You can also swim with them here on the Gold Coast with our friends at Tweed Gold Coast Dive Charters(do cruises as well).

It was our honour to lead the Santa JetSki Parade, and for an incredible cause!
Raising money for the ‘Christmas Presents For Kids In Care’ - this helps these amazing volunteers raise funds to buy presents for children in the Gold Coast and South Brisbane area. Making sure that children that may be orphaned or in other forms of care are feeling loved and cared for by their community.

Fun fact:

Humpback whales are baleen whales which means they do not have teeth! As you can see in this shot captured by our on board photographer , the whales have a series of 270-400 baleen plates which are made out of keratin.🐋

As the humpback whale closes its mouth, it uses its tongue to expel the water through the bristly baleen plates. The food stays in its mouth to be swallowed whole and digested. ✔️
