While we still have capacity on our Crossing the Antarctic Circle 2025 group aboard Quark's purpose designed Polar ship, the Ultramarine, we have now released our 2026 Crossing the Antarctic Circle voyage 09-22FEB2026.

The words 'trip of a life time' are bandied around carelessly sometimes, and while all trips are learning experiences, and most are inspiring, the Polar regions are definitely in a class of their own. A visit to Antarctica aboard a small ship (less than 200) really is 'the trip of a life time'.

In February 2025 we're heading back to Antarctica with a group of adventurers, mainly from WA. This will be my 8th trip to the most remote, spectacular and amazing places on the planet.

We are Crossing the Antarctic Circle over 14 days aboard Quark Expedition's purpose designed ship, the Ultramarine. With a max of 199 passengers this ship can disembark everyone in ten minutes. With landing sites restricted to one hundred people at a time, you can avoid the big ships. And as the only ship with 2 helicopters the viewing is unparalleled.

While the Ultramarine has everything you'd expect in an Expedition vessel, but this voyage is not about the ship. It's about getting off the ship and exploring the Great White Continent.

The wildlife is prolific and abundant, hundreds of thousands of penguins nesting in their rocky rockeries, whales in a feeding frenzy, luxuriating, fat seals including hunters like the leopard seal.

Anyone interested in exploring Tasmania? We’re supporting the Bibbulmun Track Foundation with this new trip.

Join our Tassie Trip! – 29 March to 11 April 2025 🥾

The 13-day itinerary has been specially designed by Intrepid Travel & Peregrine Travel Centre Perth to make the most of Tasmania’s classic walking destinations.

Accompanied by an experienced guide and the Foundation’s ED, Linda Daniels, you will enjoy the very best day walks and attractions Tasmania has to offer.

Fully catered and staying in comfortable accommodation, this tour is a wonderful way to take in this tiny but mighty island.
