Wendy recently came back from her incredible journey to Africa, and here’s what she had to share about her experience.🦁🦍🦓🦒 #Africa has been a Big Bucket list item on our list to tick off, and WOW it has been simply stunning. As nature lovers it was thrilling to not only see the animals in their environment, but to witness some of those iconic scenes most people only see on Nature documentaries. We started our trip in #Uganda with the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Gorilla Trekking. This was a life changing experience and too special to even describe! Then headed to Kibale National Park to trek with the Chimpanzees, this was a more of a manic experience as they are so fast when on the move. Next up we headed into #Tanzania to the Northern Serengeti where we saw 4 of the big 5 in one day and were lucky enough to see 2 wildebeest crossings, including the life and death battles with crocodiles. Then to top off our day we found a magnificent leopard finishing off his kill in a tree. For a different perspective we did a hot air balloon one morning, such a serene experience and well worth the early start! Then it was lion spotting on the to do list and they did not disappoint, especially to the three gorgeous cubs we found. Our next stop was #NgorongoroCrater, with a pit stop at lake Manyara on the way, where we saw the rare sight of a tree lion eating a baboon. Ngorongoro Crater was where we ticked off No 5 with the black rhino. We witnessed Mother Nature at work again with the pecking order of animals, and birds, cleaning up a kill. As an unplanned surprise we were greeted by an elephant when we got back to our camp, just wow! Tarangire National Park was our last Game visit and here it is an Elephant Paradise. Our camp had a nightly visit from a Bachelor Elephant herd, who came to play in the waterhole, you could just sit and watch them for hours! One was a bit inquisitive and came to check us out.
