HELP needed at Sunbird Chase!!

Plants, electronics, household items, building/maintenance materials, hand tools, power tools, gym balls and step, vibration machines of various sizes, bicycles and the list goes on.

I got the magpie gene from mum.

As my brothers and I get past being overwhelmed by what mum never threw out in her lifetime, I have attic, office, garage, cupboards and spaces full of stuff that should get repurposed in favour of going to land fill.

Before I start advertising, I welcome inquiry from those who see this post. If I have an item of interest, any reasonable offer is likely to be accepted.

A mate across the road is leaving for Melbourne later this month. He has given me so many aquariums, sumps and filters that I have literally run out of space to put them.

We are putting stuff that I can’t take on the front verandah at 69 Sunbird Chase Parrearra, 4575. Drive, park, and take what you can use.

Felicity brought her own paddle from Melbourne and took our longest kayak for a clockwise circumnavigation of Kawana Island.

Clockwise because a falling tide in the Mooloolah River makes for a leisurely paddle with the current by entering the river via purpose built kayak facilities at the southern end of Parrearra Lake.

Conditions were perfect and reminiscent of a trip that Felicity did through the Noosa Everglades a few days before checking in with us at Sunbird.

Conditions were so good this week with moonshine and high tides after sunset that I took the same kayak across to Mudjimba Island for night dives.

Note to self: take GoPro on the next night dive to show how incredible the fringing reef is at night.

It’s more about location, location, a subtropical garden, the habitat that it creates for wildlife, and responses to comments from our guests.

I’m honoured to attain SuperHost status given the amount of travelling that we do and a reliance on public WiFi for communications.

Our house sitters and cleaners step into the void that is created by my absenteeism.

It’s a team effort that attracts outstanding guests from around the globe.

If there was one thing that I would like to do differently, it would be the opportunity to take more of our guests across to Mudjimba Island to snorkel and dive on the coral reef and hang out with the turtles.

Airbnb guests who go to Mudjimba Island by kayak from Mudjimba Beach have said, without exception, their experience was the highlight of their short and long stays.

This post is on a day before we leave for three weeks to have a shared experience with a Sri Lankan friend on Queensland’s railway journeys to Longreach, Townsville, Mount Isa, and Cairns.
