Travel, for me, has created the opportunity to really learn some life lessons about myself and how the universe works in amazing India for example, is a place that seems to exist on a higher plane of consciousness. Family and relationships appear to be at the centre of who they are and why they thrive despite sometimes significant setbacks. It’s also a place I learned the greatest lessons about how to start and grow a business. I have always loved travel. In 2004, tired of the emptiness of corporate life, I left my secure job and started tour guiding in India and Nepal. Looking for a driver, I stumbled into the Tiwari family’s tiny travel shop on the banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi, formed a friendship and looked around for ways I could help them grow. This led to us starting Tiwari Travel together. I helped the family with training, marketing, packaging tours and bringing in customers from Australia. They helped me to understand entrepreneurship and gave me encouragement and support to a level I had never experienced before in Australia. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Move forward a decade, our relationship has meant that the Tiwari family is thriving and together we have grown this business to a point where we’ve led the way in travel experiences and personalised service. We now have two businesses Tiwari Travel and Yoga and Wellbeing Journeys.
