Kompong Phluk and Beng Mealea Tour
Travel to visit the well-known village at Tonle Sap Lake, see daily life of fishing and trading on rowing boats passing by, dotting with lines of high stilt houses and take canoe to explore the surroundings and the pleasant mangroves. Continue to truly venture the less touristy ruined jungle temple “Beng Mealea” built in 12th century, standing in lush wilderness which provides picturesque photographic setting.

Detailed Itinerary
Our experienced tour guide and driver will be greeting you at 8.00am at your hotel’s lobby then heading out of the hassle Siem Reap city about 40 minute drive to Kompong Phluk village of Tonle Sap Lake. The journey passes interesting city highlight and enroute to stroll around Rolous market to see trading activities before taking a boat trip along canal toward the center of Kampong Phluk. Once we arrive, the boat begins to slow down to let you enjoy the surrounding admired by amazing houses atop high poles, come across the highlight of fishing activities as well as see people selling fruits/vegetable/meats on their boats. Witness how life works on the water and how people make the lake as home then we resume take canoe to explore the pleasant mangroves, enjoy the serenity while taking picturesque photos. Continue by our boat to see the great lake of Tonle Sap, learn from your tour guide about ecosystem and its rich biosphere reserve.
Afternoon, we drive to visit the hidden Beng Mealea jungle temple amongst the real wilderness. On the way, we reroute to observe how famous bamboo sticky rice is produced, and you have chances to taste some bites of those delicious snacks. Once we arrive, we walk to experience the guided adventure within the lush jungle to reveal the lost temple
“Beng Mealea”. Since the temple was constructed during the reign of king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century until then it’s never been restored again. It provides wonderful adventure tour that you’re going to climb over/down the ruined rocks, walking into the gallery to unlock the carvings and its interesting history of the Hindu temple related Angkor time.
Note: If we still have time on the way back to the hotel, we will observe stone quarry that our tour guide will explain you how people cut sandstone in impressive shapes to build temples

We will start to pick up our customers from the hotel at 5:00 am and we will departure from siem reap at 6:00am.

We will first explore the Preah Vihea temple first and after that Koh ker temple then it is the lunch time at the local restaurant. After we finish our lunch we will keep going on to Beng Mealea we will reach there around at 3:30pm. So it is the time for exploring the Beng Mealea.
