Heartbreak for Zephyr Charters 💔

Last week, in a devastating freak accident during a routine clean and antifoul, our beloved Zephyr Star. The first photo you see was taken just seconds before the slipway gave way, sending all 40 tonnes of her crashing to the ground. Marcel was on board at the time and had to leap 15 meters into shallow, murky water. Thankfully, he wasn’t seriously injured, but the loss of this beautiful vessel has left us heartbroken.

The past two weeks have been incredibly challenging as we’ve worked tirelessly to reschedule or cancel 55 charters for the season. Through it all, our amazing customers have shown nothing but understanding and kindness. Not a single one of you responded with hostility or frustration, and for that, we are profoundly grateful - thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Not only did we adore Zephyr Star, but this loss has also dealt a significant financial blow. After just pouring our heart, soul, and every last resource into completing the build of Zephyr Resort - dreaming of a future where we could finally spend more time with our kids - this setback is devastating.

We’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and thoughtful suggestions from the community. While we deeply appreciate the offers of help, we’ve chosen not to accept handouts, as we recognize we’re still fortunate to have a roof over our heads. However, the financial stress is real, and we humbly ask this:

Your support would mean everything to us as we continue doing what we love most: creating unforgettable experiences with family and friends on the beautiful waters of Pittwater.

A special shoutout to our behind-the-scenes dream team, .loadsman and , who have worked countless hours of overtime to help us navigate the chaos of cancellations, rescheduling, and extra admin. We’d truly be lost without you. 🫶🏼

THE M.V. ZEPHYR

A beautiful old classic timber cruiser.

Built in 1965 but with a modern and stylish touch.

One of the most unique and boutique charter boats operating in Pittwater and Sydney Harbour.

We cater up to 30 people. The cost is $500 per hour, for a minimum of 4 hours, which includes your driver. You can also add catering and styling packages to make your experience extra special!
