Join us on a ghost hunt or tour at this incredibly atmospheric Prison, reputedly haunted by those that sadly lost their life in this once harsh and unforgiving location.
There are a few engravings around Old Parramatta Gaol, but this one is the most poignant. An Aboriginal engraving, high on the inner perimeter wall of the prison. This was clearly engraved by an Aboriginal prisoner who left their mark for us to see, nearly 200 years later 🩷
RIP to Succulent Chinese Meal man! He was an inmate at Parramatta Gaol.
Whether you know him as Mr Democracy Manifest or Succulent Chinese Meal guy, you probably recognise Jack Karlson.
How long is the line for Fear Therapy?
We keep the line moving as quickly as possible, but it all depends on the date/time you choose to come. We typically see more customers on Saturdays, and like all haunted attractions, wait times increases on Halloween.
Fear Therapy works hard to balance the flow of guests entering the haunt to allow groups to enjoy the experience without being rushed, while also reducing the extended wait times for those in line.
Line entertainers will be in close proximity to guests to keep everyone excited and entertained while waiting. Don’t forget! We’ve made it easier for you to enter a shorter line by offering prepurchased tickets.

For those who chose tickets during the day on 2 November, your entry will include access to our Halloween Fair! A fun market-style event running in conjunction with the haunted house!
If you don’t have tickets to the haunted house, you can still come to the Fair with just a $10 entry fee.
Is my child old enough to attend Fear Therapy?
All ages are allowed. We have spent a long time considering the “right” answer for this. When considering bringing a child to a haunted attraction, it’s important to note that fear is experienced differently from person to person at any age. It’s much too difficult for us to give an accurate judgment, and so it is advised that parents make this decision since they know their child the best.
We do offer two different haunts - both are scary, but one is slightly less scary than the other.
We also offer “monster repellent” for purchase at $1 per child. This means that when the monster sees the “monster repellent”, they will not target the child.

Saturday 23 March 2024 - Fundaising ghost hunt at Parramatta Gaol.
It is with sadness that we advise that our beloved crew member and best friend Lynda, is currently in the ICU fighting with everything she has, after being viciously attacked by a dog on Tuesday. You may have seen it in the news.
Lynda is the kindest, loveliest person we know, and this is going to be so hard on her, and she has a very long road to recovery ahead.
To try and help Lynda we are holding a fundraising ghost hunt at Old Parramatta Goal, with all profits to go to her - but it's not JUST a ghost hunt! So many wonderful people have come together to show their love for Lynda, and to make this event as great as it can be.
The paranormal community sticks together when someone is in need, and we look out for our people!
This 4 hour event will include a 2 hour ghost hunt, as well as a raffle with so many prizes for you to choose from. It will also include a BBQ, supplied by two APPI members, Ben and PK, and a mediumship platform reading by the wonderful The Above Average Medium - Terri Fairbairn.

Fantastic ghost hunt last night at Parramatta Gaol. The night started with a bang and continued to blow our minds for the rest of our time there. The guests were wonderful, the weather was lovely, the moon disappeared, making it pitch black in those wings… just all round perfect conditions!
