✈️ You may not be able to fly if you:
⁃ have low red blood cell levels, flying can exacerbate your condition due to lower oxygen levels in the cabin.
⁃ had recent surgery. Post-surgical recovery can be compromised by air travel. It's essential to allow adequate healing time to avoid complications
⁃ have had a bone marrow or stem cell transplants within 12 months
⁃ experience shortness of breath after light

It is best to check with your doctor and oncologist for an assessment while also confirming with your airline what the requirements are for flying.

🛫 Tips for Flying with Cancer:
1. Consult Your Doctor: Always get medical clearance before booking your flight. Your oncologist can provide advice tailored to your condition and treatment plan.

2. Documentation: Carry a detailed medical summary, including treatment history and medication list. This is crucial for any medical assistance needed during your journey

1. Carry a Prescription:
Have a valid prescription or a doctor's letter detailing your medications.

2. Original Packaging:
Keep medications in original packaging with labels.

3. Declare at Customs:
Declare all medications to border officials.

However, if you plan to have your medications packed for convenience or adherence, ask our pharmacist to pack them in a medication pack.

A medication pack will display the name of the medications, dosage and description of the medication.

If you bring a dosette box, please pack them at your destination so that you leave the country with the medications in its original packing and label with your details.

It is important to always carry a copy of a medication chart from your doctor.
