If I never hear the words "Russian Airspace" again after this week it will still be too soon. Airlines (and travel agents) have spent the week going above and beyond to make sure people are able to safely travel. So far it's working and I've been very impressed by all the creative solutions.
In the case of this Japan Airlines flight, going above and beyond meant going the long way around and flying via North America between Tokyo and London. Very impressive to see.

Amazing day today welcoming back Air Canada to Australian skies. I was lucky to be allowed onboard while they got ready to fly Australians back to Canada tomorrow (for the first time in a long while). It’s always amazing to see the other side of Sydney Airport. 🇨🇦 🍁 ✈️

Just spent the most amazing few days in the NSW high country with Clover and the team from Reynella Rides. Thank you so much for hosting me. After 2020/2021 I cannot recommend a few days in the bush with a horse more strongly. Sometimes the best travel is in our backyard.

QF1 is Qantas' flagship Sydney- London service, linking Australia and the UK. For the first time since March 2020 when Qantas grounded all international flights and Australia's borders closed, QF1 landed in London last night.

So where can we go? NSW is opening 1 November but travel is a lot more complicated than it used to be. There's other countries' border restrictions, quarantine, airline choices and testing requirements to consider. I'll advise on all of that as part of the booking process, but if you're wondering when and where our national carrier is flying, here's a handy map.

It’s official 🍾 🥂 🎉
Must be fully vaccinated and have a negative PCR test.

Airlines find out this info as we do so give them at least a few hours to get sorted but if you’ve got where you really want to be this Christmas, it’s looking possible.

Stuck in lockdown in Sydney, I'm finally taking the time to set up a page that's all travel all the time. Once we're able to travel again I'll probably be on the first plane available, but those who know me know I've got a laptop in the carry on and am only a whatsapp or email away. I can't wait to be working while on holidays again soon.
