It is difficult for us to summarise in words just how amazing and transformative the show up retreat in Greece with was – and we may be a little biased, so here are words from our retreat attendees on what they gained from this trip:

We asked, “What were your expectations for the trip and were they met?”

Kelly – This trip far surpassed my expectations! I am incredibly thankful for the motivation, inspiration, and clarity I gained during this experience. Additionally, I connected with so many amazing girls along the way, and I know I’ll cherish these friendships for a lifetime!

Selin - My expectations were to meet new people, connect with them, talk about our goals, dreams, fears, the universe, relationships etc. And I can say my expectations exceeded over everything I could have ever imagined for myself. The girls, Tammy, Jackie, Tara… everyone was SO NICE and open and I just loved every second of being with these people. The conversations we had opened up so many new different ways of thinking for me and they were so inspiring. Thank you so much for everything I will never forget about this trip and the experience we’ve made❤️

Lila - I expected to connect with like-minded women and they were extremely exceeded!

Krystal - My expectations for the trip was to come back home feeling relaxed. I now feel refreshed mentally and very inspired. It is helping me to make some life changes.

Aroha - I had gain so much more than I expected, I’ve never been to a retreat before so, I don’t know what to expect, but I have grown so much.

Feeling stuck in a creative or writing block? Here are 5 ways to spark inspiration and get your creativity flowing again:

1. Change your environment – A fresh space can bring fresh ideas. Head to a café, park, or even rearrange your workspace!
2. Collaborate with others – Sometimes, bouncing ideas off someone else can give you the breakthrough you need.
3. Morning pages – Start your day by free-writing whatever comes to mind. No rules, just write!
4. Engage in physical activity – Move your body to clear your mind. A walk, yoga, or a quick workout can reset your brain.
5. Read & consume art widely – Dive into books, visit galleries, or explore new music. Inspiration often comes from unexpected places.

All of these methods are integrated into our literature retreats and expeditions. One exciting retreat coming up is the creative retreat in Tuscany, Italy with Emma Gannon—an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in creativity and inspiration! ✨

Our Sri Lanka writing expedition with .lee has come to an end. Here are some words from Bri about the trip:

“Finishing this morning we were talking about how it has been a fortnight of reprieve from a lot of the noise that can bog you down in daily life and cloud the clarity of your values. These trips have become an opportunity to reevaluate what the rest of our lives are looking like…Sri Lanka really has it all: the people, the culture, the nature, the food, our excellent guide Dodan - all of it - went beyond our hopes and imaginings. I’ll be back. And if you haven’t been, you should come!! Above all else, thank you to my Yabbies. My kind nerds. My travelling book club. Safe travels onwards and home, and I’ll see you again soon.”

From jeep safaris to ancient temples, this group has spent the last 12 days exploring the history, food, and culture of this extraordinary country, whilst learning from Bri in her masterful writing workshops.
