BREAKING NEWS:

I am excited to announce that Unique Cruises has been sold to Rediscover Travel and I have taken on the role as General Manager for Rediscover.

We have great plans as we move forward, and over the coming months we will be showcasing some fantastic and unique travel products.

HUGE thanks and gratitude to Clarke Pennington who was invaluable to me in the early days and who set up my systems and processes saving me hours of frustration. And also, to Jacy Tangkhpanya who did a brilliant job in setting up our brand guidelines, produced excellent sales and marketing collateral and designed such excellent e-brochures.

It would be remiss of me not to thank Ingrid Botha who stood by me through the dark days of Covid and who supported my decision to push through with Unique Cruises as the lockdown days turned into weeks, into months, into years. I will be eternally grateful.

So here we are, and the future never looked brighter. Rediscover Travel is amazing and I am looking forward to working even closer with all my travel industry friends and colleagues. Hang onto your hats people......

One of our favourite places on the Rhine River in Germany, Rüdesheim am Rhein, is known for its winemaking, especially Riesling wines.

It is also renowned for its famous (and delicious) Rüdesheimer Kaffee. A specialty coffee infused with brandy, (or cognac, or armagnac), with whipped cream - sweetened with vanilla sugar, and topped with dark chocolate shavings, it is particularly delightful on a cool winters afternoon after exploring this beautiful town.

While in Rüdesheim, make sure you explore Brömserburg Castle. A medieval castle, set high on the hill with unapparelled views of the Rhine River.
