Another exanple of what makes our game special. A beautiful story about a selfless act by one of our best. Also a story about a fan of our great game whi is given some happiness in tough times. God bless her.

Hayley Smith is a passionate South Sydney Rabbitohs fan and her favourite player is Cameron Murray.
___
Sadly, the 20-year-old has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and doctors have informed her she will not live to see her 21st birthday.
___
Whilst undergoing chemotherapy for her first cancer diagnosis, Hayley would continue to work, which required travel via two trains and a bus every day.
___
While receiving treatment one of the nurses learned of her passion for the Rabbitohs and sent a message to Cameron Murray.
___
Murray organised a visit to the hospital to visit his number one fan and to bring some joy to her in such a difficult time.
___
“It wasn’t through his club or anything like that, he just organised it on his own,” Hayley’s brother Mr Sproule said.
___
“He showed up with his personal jersey and some hand cream and other gifts and a really nice message, and then they spent about two hours with Hayley just talking to her and cheering her up.”
___
Murray also organised several of his team mates to send Hayley a video message.
___
Last weekend Murray also vacated his room for the Charity Shield so his rookie team mates family had a place to stay the night, after they travelled hours. Proving once again he genuinely is one of the greatest men in our game.
___
Thanks Cam for being an exceptional human being and always representing the so well. Also my best wishes to Hayley and her family.❤️
