What a year of wonderful cultural travel!
We began the year delighting in Singapore’s Art Deco gems and even took a bite out of the Big Apple’s expansive art collections and celebrated theatre stages.
Japan enticed us with seasonal offerings of unforgettable wisteria trees and azaleas in full spring bloom, colourful autumnal landscapes and bold contemporary art, architecture and design.
We trod the ‘Road Less Travelled’ in the Caucasus, followed in the footsteps of the French Impressionists on their 150th anniversary and discovered the rich art history of the Low Countries across Belgium and The Netherlands. Egypt left us spellbound on a wondrous journey through 4,500 years of history, whilst stays in Madrid, Rome and Istanbul allowed us to dive deep into the cultural hearts of these cities.
The Mediterranean beckoned with visits to Sicily and Malta for a wealth of art and archaeology from the Neolithic to the Baroque, and the art and architecture of Puglia had us falling in love with Southern Italy. A journey through Lyon and Paris provided new insights via a historical cinematic lens and we marvelled at the acclaimed Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright in Pittsburgh. Ancient temples and bustling street markets charmed us in South Korea.
We savoured performance after performance of outstanding productions, concerts and recitals by leading opera & ballet companies and music festivals in Germany, England, Spain, France and Australia.
New Zealand and Australia offered a bounty of Antipodean landscapes, private gardens and magnificent displays of springtime wildflowers. Norfolk Island provided a chance to experience a different pace of life and to explore a unique and intriguing history.
And now, we are celebrating the colourful Festive Season in Europe. In the historic concert halls and opera houses of Germany and experiencing iconic classical ballets in Paris, Berlin and London.
From all of us at Renaissance Tours, we wish you a happy Festive Season an
