Last week we sent off 2 of the smaller frame Mazdas we recently worked on…

The white 1300 came in for a N/A conversio. We supplied a motor, rebuilt and bridge ported it. Had Hak fabrications do the engine and box mounts as well as a full exhaust system. A few tweaks to the Weber on the dyno and away she goes for the run in period…

Good customer Kevey, the giant killer dropped off the chariot too crank it up a notch with a new billet block. Now we can wind it up some more and try to knock off some more of the top contenders at roll racing…

Up from Canberra this RX4 came in for a C4 conversion and also an E85 conversion. We previously built the motor for the previous owner of this car, so we knew what it could handle! It’s now making an easy 580 at the wheels through the S&S Transmissions auto, which is plenty too upset the streets of our fine capital!
After we finished up we sent it over to Deja Vu Paint Protection Specialists for a full paint correction session and also ceramic coating.

Its Friday FD specials

BAY13B is now out the door and off for run in after we rebuilt and refitted it’s new engine…

ABUZ4U came in for a full checkover. We found and fixed few electrical and also fuel issues. Once they were sorted we strapped her in for a dyno tune.

Finished off recently was this subtle yet snappy setup we recently completed on this clean FD Rx7 which came in as a completely stock vehicle and now leaving with a fresh setup consisting of:

🔹VIS 13B Bridgeport
🔹Garrett 35 frame turbocharger
🔹Hak fabrications low mount exhaust manifold
🔹Hak fabrications custom exhaust system and cooler piping
🔹Haltech elite 1500

She’ll be back for some more supporting mods as a new engine bay mounted intercooler alternative is in the making……. Stay tuned.

Agent Orange came in for a E85 conversion. We started by upgrading the Turbosmart reg to a FPR2000, fitted bigger capacity injectors, cleaned the filters and made all new fuel lines using BMRS fittings. Then on the dyno for the corn tune! Another happy and healthy buzzer for n the streets!

This tidy FD in for us to repair a pesky sump leak and then a John west special retune.
Also leaving us this week the FC in for a checkover before a dyno tune.

After a bit of a break it’s time to come back and ruffle some feathers!
Not long to go until Pharlap can get out and do some testing. The plan is to go back to the top of the list again, where it belongs!
We have a few tricks up our sleeve with new programs and the latest codes, our power management program is something the NASA engineers are envious of, watch this space!

Adam contacted us to sort a few issues with his FC and afterwards the main goal was too be number 1 on the FC quarter mile leader board. After seeing us do it so easy on the FD list, he knew we were the place too go!
We went over the car and fixed a few fuel and electrical issues then put a VIS tune into it and the car responded really well making good power, enough for a 9 sec pass and that’s a credit too the engine builder.
We then set the suspension up for the qaurter with a few of Troy's old tricks from racing an irs FC back in the day after that we sent it off too Deja Vu Paint Protection Specialists for a nice detail and then we are ready too start testing. Watch this space!

323 2 door hatch ready to go back to paint after completing a full running gear setup. We rebuilt the 12A that was in the car too handle some boost, we supplied and fitted a custom 9 inch diff.
Hak fabrications Bc coilovers in the front as well as a custom bolt in fuel tank, and the rest of the fab work also completed by HAK. It’s got willwood brakes all round as well as a custom fuel system with a Turbosmart reg. Custom wiring for the microtech lt10c and a full rewire for the car… Looking forward to seeing it after it’s painted, it should be one good looking hatch!

This time capsule Gemini came in as a full Nana spec stocker. The owner wanted a rotary conversion so we made it look as factory as possible with no cutting or welding in the conversion proces. We supplied and built 13b 6port motor, Toyota R151 box, Hak fabrications exhaust system and the boys at Macarthur Autobody for giving the engine bay a tidy up!
It’s now ready too run in then start the engeering process.

The Yakuza lead sled just came into the country and in the Aussie heat it was getting a bit hot. We had the original radiator recored and also flushed the cooling system and now she is ready for duty.

First Gen rx7 we had in the shop recently finalised came in and upon being diagnosed was found to be overheating and low on comp so we done the following:

- Engine rebuild
- Supply and install Hak fabrications radiator/oil cooler kit
- Engine bay fluid transfer overhaul using BMRS crimp hose and fittings

Today we are posting about this tidy 808 that’s came back in after it’s run in kms fora stint up on the hoist for a Che k over and a full service. Once happy we gave it a tune and gave it back to the owner for some spirited driving!
Also we had the KE Corolla in for a general check over and some wiring issues that needed to be addressed, even if it isn't a rotor we can help because in the end we are mechanics not social media influencers!

H’s blue FC in for a checkover and new brake pads before being punished at powercruise over the weekend.

The RX8 we recently rebuilt just before Christmas, its a hybrid renosis with a supercharger, after its run in k’s its back for its first service and dyno tune.

The white FC was in for a coolant leak. We found the water pipe corroded in block so drilled and tapped a new fitting and good too go again.

After recently being sold, the new owner wasted no time in running the one of a kind R100 in and came back to us for its full tune.
We did a service and gave her a once over on the hoist. Happy and healthy the owner has let us know it has been thoroughly thrashed all day today and its happy to cope the abuse!

Some of you may remember the last day of last year for us here at VIS, we posted photos of this beauty we affectionately refer to as “Minty”. Well it’s been 12 months and here she is, just been registered and ready for the owner to enjoy over the holiday break so keep an eye out for this beast on a street near you!
Over the past 12 months we VIS Spec’ed a FD block for the car, had Hak fabrications to do his thing on the fab including a cooling package, mounting accessories and fuel tank to name a few of the major parts. Sourced and fitted a 154 Supra box, had a 9” built for her and fitted it up. BC Racing Australia coil over with Willwoods hanging off all four corners. We measured up and had made the Simmons Wheels Australia 19’s. A full front to back rewire by our awesome sparky. Installed the Microtech EFI catalog to keep thing in check with Motorsport 3D dash insert holding the 7” logger dash. Not forgetting Bright Blasting & Powder Coating for the great work on all the coating and fiddley bits.

To all our customers, followers and especially the haters, we do our best to keep everyone happy but there is only so much we can do in a days work so sorry if we let anyone down, we hope you all have a great Christmas and new year, enjoy some down time with family and friends and get some rest and recuperation before the new year where we will be right back into it, next year should be a big year hopefully having our own shop car to do some R&D on and some racing ourselves!

RX7 kind of afternoon today, finishing up the week with these beauties!

The red FD in for a service, after fitting a mictech ecu and getting it running. Once it’s painted and finished we will get it back in to make the bay pretty and a final tune.

Mario’s back on the streets with his new spec motor, love it or hate it, its the only one in the world!

Lastly the blue FD, in for a bridge port, a single turbo conversion,
E85 fuel system upgrade, plug and play ECU and dash setup, a Motorsport 3D dash insert and one of their beautiful FD air box’s
It came in black and had a quick colour change to Barbados Blue by the boys at Fully Coated paint and panel!

Friday night xmas stories!!
The REDBUL RX7 ready too go after an eventful series of events…
We built this motor over a year ago for our good customer. He then decided too do a single turbo conversion and haltech upgrade, awesome, job sorted!
Once finished it came in for a tune and Troy wasn't happy as it wasn't making the power these setups usually do so the customer decided too take the car and go over it himself. So fast forward few months later, I get a call that the motor has no oil pressure. I said bring it in let us look at it. Low and behold, the full story comes out that they decided too take the car to another shop too get another opinion. After one run on their dyno the owner got the call about low oil pressure and dynoing stopped. The saga continues…. The car came back too us and the first thing we dropped the sump and too our suprise, it was like new! So we started looking spotted one oil cooler line twisted and cable tied together, now this seems a bit odd too knowing the cars has been driven for over a year! So we replaced line and put it back on dyno we finally found the issue now REDBUL has his wings!

With the end of the year getting closer we have been a little busy trying to finish all the jobs that need to be done this year so have been a bit quiet in posting but here are 2 beauties for ya!

Gingers leaving us after a few upgrades consisting of BC Racing Australia rear coil overs, an ignition coil upgrade and a FD top hat install with pipe work mods by Hak fabrications, then a service and tidy up on the rollers.

Out the doors this week is Frank’s Capella, unfortunately after just being tuned at another shop and Frank driving it, he knew something wasn't right so he brang it back too us too sort the tune.
Firstly we finished the eboost install correctly after he was sold the eboost then told the setup wasn't going too work so they didn’t complete the job. Once that was all sorted we strapped it on the rollers and fined tuned 3 boost settings now frank can enjoy his car with confidence and without any issues.
