BridgeClimb Sydney maintains an active presence on multiple social media channels to celebrate our Bridge and city, share updates on BridgeClimb and to provide a platform to communicate with our guests. All social media conversations, posts, comments and photos should be respectful and constructive at all times. BridgeClimb has strict moderation guidelines on defamation, discrimination and intimidation. We will take a strong stance on moderating and deleting content which is irrelevant, discriminatory, defamatory, threatening and actions which may offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate. In the instance where BridgeClimb deems posts, comments or other material to be inappropriate, BridgeClimb will remove those posts, comments or other material. In addition, users may be blocked from further activity on official BridgeClimb social media platforms and in extreme cases may be the subject of further investigation. Community Standards

When using BridgeClimb’s social media channels, please ensure that you:

Do:
- comply with the terms of use of any social media platform that hosts BridgeClimb social media channels;
- treat other people using the social media platforms with respect and courtesy;
- protect your personal privacy and that of others by not including personal information about yourself or others in your comments, (such as names, email addresses, private addresses or phone numbers);
- post material to the page that is relevant to the topics and issues being discussed;
- represent your own views and do not impersonate or falsely represent any other person; and
- we welcome all those who have ever experienced BridgeClimb to share your comments, memories, images and videos with us

Do not:

This International Women's Day, we celebrate Kathleen Muriel Butler, the 'Godmother of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.'

As the trusted right-hand of Chief Engineer John Bradfield, Kathleen played a pivotal role in the bridge's conception and construction. Her work as a project manager, negotiator, and publicist was instrumental, from shepherding the bridge's legislation through Parliament to overseeing the project in England.

A trailblazer for women in STEM, she was not only present at publicity events such as the signing of contracts and joining the first rivet, she was the only woman present during the opening of tenders, and also made history with her 29 articles on the Bridge’s development.

Kathleen’s legacy continues to inspire generations of women in engineering, and we love continuing to share her story with Climbers.

Despite his fear of heights, Gary from Glasgow proved that the most rewarding moments come from stepping outside your comfort zone. Visiting Sydney with his wife, Gaynor, to see their daughter Kelsey, who’s studying in the Harbour City, he took on the challenge of climbing the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge - with his family by his side every step of the way. 💙

As the highlight of their east coast trip, this experience leaves Gary heading home with unforgettable memories, an incredible sense of achievement and at least one more reason to return 😉. Congrats, Gary! 👏
