Hey, summer is nearly here…Monday 5th December was very nice. Hannah’s team did really well with a box of mixed fish. The highlight words from one of the young guys was ‘I would give away Play Station for this’. How good is that?
Saturday 15th October. Despite La Nina causing havoc all across the country we managed to find a reasonable day at sea. A nice box of fish and a couple of gummy sharks, catch and release of course.
Sunday 8 may 2022. And this is the fish of the day...a 70 cm Mackerel Tuna.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
As you probably all know, it’s been a cold, wet and windy November and December. Not much fun. La Nina is making it very difficult for us and many others.
Friday 10 December. For the first time in months, we had an opening for a reef fishing morning. Really nice morning with calm seas and light wind…until 10:30 when a strong southerly arrived earlier than the forecast and at the same time thunder, lighting and rain coming in from the west.
So, unfortunately, we had to abort and head back to port. It’s not a good idea to be at sea with thunder and lightning.
Hey fishing friends. Update from All At Sea Charters. We are now in lockdown for a month. With NSW Water Police’s agreement, we can operate on a limited basis and complying with Covid-19 regulations. So, in short:
You must live within a 10 km radius from Cronulla Wharf,
We are limiting the numbers to a maximum of 4 people from the same household,
If you are in the cabin, you must wear a face mask,
You must also register with our QR Code.
If you wish to do a half day offshore reef fishing, chasing flathead and trolling for tuna, please call me direct on 0414 525 968.
Best regards Roland

Not much fun during the Covid lock down 🙁 The only thing to report this week is that Sammy the Seal visited us at RMYC Port Hacking. Can’t wait for restrictions being lifted, spring and taking you out on fishing expeditions 🐋🏖
Werrong Beach 26th June 2021. With a forecast of 10 knots from the west, it was a beautiful morning and nice trolling run down to Werrong Beach, about 10 nautical miles south. It resulted in about half a dozen bonito in the tank. Werrong fished well until a completely unexpected 30 knot SE wind hit around 9:00. Fish of the day was a 40 cm pigfish (similar eating quality to coral trout), red rock cod, snapper, pike, tarwhine and a mixed bag of other reef species.
And as you can see in the video, the wind dropped and going home was easy.
Yep, difficult weather in May and this is why we cancelled the weekend 29-30th May 2021.
On our way home and I think the guys are pretty happy 🐋
Thursday 22nd April and a very nice bonito. Good conditions but the flathead drift didn’t work today, just undersized little guys.
Nice mahi mahi out wide

Another day in the office…and it was a good one with a very nice crew with Yong Pan’s COSCO team and Jenna the team leader. We landed a nice catch, not big in numbers but mixed reef fish and pelagics like bonito and kingfish. The most exciting hookup was a mako shark on our floating blue mackerel bait.
This one was up to two meters. They have a terrible temperament when caught and brought onboard. So better let him go and we cut the line and waved him goodbye.
