🎉 WE’VE LAUNCHED TOURS IN BRISBANE!

Over the years, we’ve had so many guests ask if we do tours elsewhere. We’re so excited to announce you can explore both Sydney and Brisbane with us! 🤗

For our history lovers, we’ve got an Ultimate Brisbane Walking Tour that hits all the main attractions and goes into Brisbane’s history, culture, society and First Nations stories 🐨

For our art and bar hoppers, we’ve got a Brisbane Small Bars & Street Art tour that visits some of Brissy’s best cocktail bars and touches on murals and street art along the way. Two different routes for this one 🤩

Our first tours in Brisbane kick off NEXT WEEKEND and we’d love your support and feedback! If you know someone in Brisbane who should check us out, spread the word 💌

Much love 🫶🏻

It's been a long time since we've introduced a new team member - mainly because I'm slack at posting 😬

Please welcome Eddie! (actually he's been hosting for a while) 🤗

Eddie hosts our Chinatown tour, which makes sense, as he grew up in and around the area, with his parents working in nearby restaurants.

As an “ABC” (Australian-born Cantonese), Eddie has a deep attachment to the history and people who make up Sydney’s Chinatown. The area’s food scene is the backdrop to his childhood. He loves sharing stories about places that he’s been coming to all his life, and introducing new audiences to dishes he’s been eating since before he can remember!

Eddie holds a Masters in Architecture from UTS and runs a design agency specialising in social impact. He’s also a member of Soul of Chinatown, a not-for-profit organisation established to promote Sydney’s historic Chinatown precinct and support local businesses.

It's great to have you in the team Eddie! 🙏

🎉 GROUP OF THE WEEK 🎉

Introducing a new segment where we highlight one group of guests from the previous week. These bunch of legends on Saturday night's Secret Bar Crawl were an absolute hoot!

In this group we had:
- 1 local 🇦🇺 couple from Western Sydney on a who only signed up 1 hour beforehand as they were heading into town (excellent last minute decision)
- A brother/sister combo from Western Australia with a side of girlfriend (who was sh*t-talking the other Aussies like they'd been mates since school)
- A solo 🇲🇽 traveller who was probably the most Mexican person inside .sydney that night
- A 🇺🇸 guest new to Sydney who learnt what a Tim Tam Slam was, unfortunately done with beer at
- Group of 🇸🇬 friends who joined us a bit late after some Hamilton shenanigans at the Ivy. One of the guests had come on the bar crawl 2 years earlier - we ❤️ our return guests!

Pretty diverse bunch but they got on like a 🏠 on 🔥 in no time. I bailed just before 11pm but I think they kicked on for a while (if any of the guests are reading this please check in, your families are worried 😂).

I bumped into Sydney character Danny Lim outside the QVB on Friday. For those of you who don't know Danny, he wears these sandwich board type signs with humorous messages and every day he'll be out, waving, dancing and taking selfies with people all around Sydney. It's no exaggeration to say that he brings smiles to hundreds of people every day.

In December 2022, Danny was injured during an attempted arrest by at the Queen Victoria Building, after security guards there asked him to leave. Danny's head hit the floor during the discontinued arrest & he was taken to hospital. The police said they'd conduct an independent review into what happened.

What most people don't know is that Danny never fully recovered from that incident. He continues to suffer from headaches, flashbacks and interrupted sleep and he's become visibly more frail since then. Danny told me that he can't bring himself to enter QVB in case a security guard confronts him, which could set off his PTSD. He has heard nothing from QVB management, let alone the outcome of the police review. He keeps coming into the city though because in his words, "if I stay at home it is too depressing".

This is not right. How can we get some answers for this elderly man and make all of the city a safe place for him once again? He just wants to be able to walk through the QVB and other shopping centres in town without being made to feel unwelcome and threatened.

We're tagging , , , , and .spender to see if we can get some answers for Danny.

It’s time to officially welcome Claudia!! 🙌🏼

🇵🇪 Arriving on our shores from Peru 10 years ago, Claudia has found a home in Darlinghurst and Australia.

🍹 You’ll find her leading the Saturday night Secret Bar Crawls in her local stomping ground of Darlo and Surry Hills, where she gets paid to visit some of her favourite whisky and tequila bars.

✨ She’s bursting with other recommendations for the area, including other great cafes, restaurants and bars to check out - so be sure to ask her!

💃🏼 With a background in the tourism industry, Claudia now works in fashion. She loves art and cooking. And naturally, Claudia is a fluent Spanish speaker!

Please join me in welcoming Claudia to the LST team!! ❤️
