Brightworks are looking for a hardworking and reliable Mid to Senior Level Editor to join our team as soon as possible in a job-sharing role with the current Senior Editor. Must be open to flexible work hours/permanent part-time role.

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role who can work with our Editors, Production Manager and Producer/Directors.

This role will involve:

Job sharing with current Senior Editor, ideal for someone who wants 2-3 days’ work a week, with ability to scale days up as work increases. Editing of various video formats (Online Videos, Corporate Videos, Hype Reels etc.), including motion graphics, sound design and colour grading.
Freelance or other work can be done on free days. If you pick up a fulltime freelance job that runs for a week or more, we can cover the days until finished.
Workdays are super flexible, can be chosen by the applicant as set days each week, or organised the week or two priors.
Remote work available once we set you up, time in the office will still be needed at times for edits with client, Production meetings, BBQ days or to just hang out and have a laugh.

Essential Software:

Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, Google Drive

Nice to haves:

Experience using ProMax Server, InDesign, Illustrator, Audition.

Skills & experience required:

Strong editing skills, minimum of basic After effects and motion gfx skills, more can be taught on the job if needed. Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and raise potential issues ahead of time
Excellent storytelling skills with strong technical editing abilities. Great communication skills and a proactive nature. Attention to detail and laser-like focus with a “get sh*t done” mentality
Experience with camera equipment is a bonus. Some experience being client facing is desirable.

Sierra Escape Promo

In advertising we spend our lives making things for other brands and products, so it's super exciting when we get to do it for one of our own. Here's a new promo video we've put together for Sierra Escape Mudgee. Huge thanks to everyone who helped out and is featured including Visit NSW, Mudgee Region, Burnbrae Wines Mudgee, LOWE Wines & Pieter van Gent Winery & Vineyard.

We spent a couple of days out in Mudgee talking to a couple of farmers about what they're going through during the drought, and seeing some of the amazing work that 200BALES is doing to help out during a trying time. We made this video to shed a bit of light on what's happening out there, and what you can do to help. Brightworks 2016 Wrap Up

Well, another year has gone by....and we're a little exhausted to say the least. It's been an epic twelve months, working across loads of great brands with a host of amazing clients. We'd like to thank each and everyone of you that kept us busy, it's been loads of fun, and we can't wait to get stuck in again in 2017. Merry Christmas and have a safe holiday, from the Brightworks crew. Here's a little taste of what we got up to during the year :)
