💗After working virtually with the incredible team at Bacchus Advisory for over 4 years, we were excited to take 11 delightful and hungry team members on a private tour with us to Merrylands!

✨ Together we explored food, history, and culture from Afghanistan, Persia, Syria, and beyond. Nick Bartik, Partner at Bacchus Advisory, said, “a big thank you to TASTE for an authentic and unique team bonding experience. We loved the food, and the company, and that we also supported TASTE’s important charitable work. We all had a great night.” We love taking work teams on tour — it is always a deliciously bonding experience — but it’s extra special to meet a team for the first time in person, after working together for years.

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper looking for an exciting part-time opportunity to work for a social enterprise and charity and use your skills for social good? Taste Cultural Food Tours is seeking a proficient Bookkeeper to join our team and oversee our accounting operations.

Main Responsibilities:
• Manage accounting operations in XERO, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain integrations between XERO and Stripe, Weel, and Westpac banking accounts.
• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing payroll.
• Ensure timely payment of wages, superannuation, and PAYG tax.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, and follow up on overdue payments.
• Analyze accounting data to produce regular financial reports for our Head Office and Management Teams.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and principles.
• Oversee bank balances and assist in budget management.
• Prepare for and coordinate annual audits as required.

Experience/Qualifications:
• Proven bookkeeping experience and proficiency with Xero.
• Proven payroll managing and processing experience.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
• Ability to manage financial records accurately and efficiently.
• Proficiency in data entry and spreadsheet software.
• Business Activity Statement (BAS) experience also preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.

Additional Details:
• The role involves 8 hours per fortnight, with additional hours during end-of-financial-year reporting, to be negotiated.
• Compensation: $40 AUD per hour plus super.
