This challenge is designed to inspire innovative thinking and practical digital solutions among students across the Trans-Tasman, offering them a chance to showcase their skills and compete for a share of a $10,000 prize pool!

Last week on the 10th of April, MQASA hosted the Mock Assessment Centre in collaboration with Macquarie Business School. We had over 80 students and representatives attend the event providing members the opportunity to gain first hand experience in what it is like to be in a real life Assessment Centre. 📄✅

During the event, students had the opportunity to:
1️⃣ Engage in an industry proven Case Study that required attendees to utilise a variety of skills and take them out of their comfort zone
2️⃣ Present their findings from the case study to all attendees allowing them to develop their public speaking and presentation skills
3️⃣ Meet and receive feedback from representatives of Australia’s largest professional services firms
4️⃣ Expand their network and meet likeminded students gaining valuable relationships

We want to extend a massive thank you to all the students who attended. We hope you gained significant value from the event and we look forward to seeing you at our next event. 🌟

Applications are now open for the BCG 2024 Scholarship program! BCG is excited to launch the BCG Scholarships, each to the value of $20,000. Register for one of BCG’s events to learn more about the Scholarship program, meet with Consultants, and learn a bit more about life at BCG!

To support high potential future leaders, our scholarship recipients will receive AUD$20,000 in scholarship funding and a mentor through the remainder of their studies. The Women and Non-Binary and the General Scholars will also receive a full-time job offer to join BCG. This year we are also offering a First Nations Scholarship and Internship where recipients will receive an 8-week internship, in addition to AUD$20,000 in funding and a mentor.

We are looking for driven, curious students who are excited by a challenge and want to have a positive impact on their communities, whether local, national or global. Applicants will be considered for a full-time graduate position with BCG Australia and New Zealand.

We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and disciplines. We particularly want to encourage applicants from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in our industry.

Yesterday, ASA partnered with Grant Thornton Australiato run The Day In The Life of a Grant Thornton Employee at their office in the CBD🏢🚀

Our second professional event of the year was highly successful and have students the opportunity to learn more about the firm and establish personal relationships whilst expanding their network✨

The event was structured so students had the opportunity to:
- Learn more about the values and beliefs of Grant Thornton and how they deliver for clients;
- Hear about the service lines and their roles within Grant Thornton
- Meet and engage personally with Grant Thornton employees and gain insights into their day to day activities from all service lines
- Understand more about the roles available to students including vacationer and graduate opportunities, and how to stand out in your application

On Wednesday night, members of ASA attended the MQU Accounting Student Networking Event in collaboration with PwC at their offices in Barangaroo✨

Our first professional event of the semester was highly engaging, valuable and in high demand with over 65 students attending the event📝

During the event we had the opportunity to:
➡️Learn more about the values of PwC as a firm and how they add value to clients;
➡️Hear about their diverse range of work experience opportunities for university students and graduates including the Graduate, Vacationer, Trainee and Clerkship programs;
➡️Ask PwC representatives from different service lines and roles questions about what its like to be apart of the firm and where it can take you, as well as what exposure you get throughout your career and;
➡️Network with PwC representatives to make long lasting and valuable connections in the industry as well as snack on some good food

We want to thank all our members who joined the event and we hope you gained insight and value in attending📅
