Iron & Resin in Currumbin Waters isn’t your usual Cafe. Imagine a motorbike garage that’s beome a community hub for riders, slinging top-notch brews.

A familiar face that forms part of the crew at Iron & Resin is Jimbo, who’s also our January barista of the month. He’s got quite the story, so tune in.

Jimbo recently appeared with Travis Fimmel in a Stan series (pretty cool if we say so ourselves) and is known for calling happy hour way too early. When he’s not out and about, you’ll find him switching between bike tools and brew gear – either or, he does a killer job.

Our latest single origin from Ethiopia is beautifully delicate with a floral sweetness. The good news? She’s available online for you to enjoy at home.
 
Featuring notes of orange, peach, jasmine and lavender, this micro-lot is sourced from the high-quality coffee growing region of SNNPR.
 
Birhanu Haile, the producer behind this beauty, is a young coffee farmer who forms part of the Jabanto farmers group. He works diligently with the local bureau of agriculture to find the best coffee varieties that are most suited to his farming system and the local environment.
 
As a result of understanding the ins and outs of the region’s climate, a premium, well balanced single origin awaits your morning cuppa routine.

Cold Brewjito ☀️ the ultimate summer refresher

With summer in full swing, there’s no better way to cool down than with our super tasty cold brewjito recipe, made using our specialty coffee concentrate. ​​Check out how to enjoy this one at home.

Ingredients​:
- 90mL Coffee Concentrate​
- 60mL Soda Water​
- 15mL Simple Syrup​
- Fresh Lime Juice to taste​
- 2 to 4 Mint Leaves​

Instructions​:
1. Muddle mint leaves in a cocktail shaker*
2. Add ice, concentrate, simple syrup and lime juice and shake*
3. Pour over ice into your glass of choice
4. Top with soda water, give her a gentle stir and sip away

Feely fruity? Give our tropical twist a go by swapping half of the soda water for pineapple juice​. She’s delish.

We couldn’t close out 2024 without giving a shout out to Mimi, so we’re stoked to anoint her as our Barista of the Month.

A long-time legend at Pasture of Balmoral, Mimi is a true coffee aficionado. Even on days off, you’re likely to find her out enjoying breakkie and a cuppa at a new cafe. Some might call it an obsession, we just chalk it up to market research.

Mimi is arguably the best barista in all of Mosman - not only for her mean brewing skills, but because she genuinely cares for and remembers local’s names and orders. It’s a little thing, but sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference.

So what are you waiting for? Treat yourself to an end of the year cuppa made by the one and only Mimi.
