Here you witness an amazing variety of native Australian birds and wildlife on the doorstep of your home away from home – an 1850’s traditional homestead with luxurious touches and classic Australian country hospitality aplenty. THE ARKABA WALK - FLINDERS RANGES - OUTBACK SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Immerse yourself in the outback on one of Australia’s great walks. As you traverse the Flinders Ranges over a four day guided walk, you’ll soon realise that nothing is more important in life than the here and now. These ancient lands will have you in awe, as expert guides point out native wildlife enjoying their natural surrounds. Then sleep under a dazzling starry sky in luxurious swag camps and see the Milky Way like never before. This may be a trek through the outback, but luxury touches will meet your every need. BAMURRU PLAINS - ON THE EDGE OF KAKADU - NORTHERN TERRITORY
The call of the kookaburra wakens you from a deep sleep. Looking out from your safari bungalow you see an abundance of birds and wildlife in their morning flurry. As the sky brightens, adventure awaits you at Bamurru. Airboat and open top 4WD safaris through the vastness of Australia’s Top End will have you spotting crocodiles and wild buffalo. The end of the day brings sundowners by the pool and gourmet meals, while a vivid orange sunset brings in the night sky. WILD BUSH FISHING SAFARIS
The mighty Barramundi is a prized sports fish, inhabiting the freshwater floodplains and saltwater estuaries of Australia's Top End and challenging even the most experienced fishermen with its size and fighting strength! From February to April anglers at Bamurru Plains have the opportunity to take to the Mary River Floodplains by airboat and the Sampan Creek by riverboat in pursuit of this legendary fish. Accompanied by a specialist guide from an experienced team led by our very own NT Barra Classic champion, John Cooper, if your plan is to catch a prized metre long barramundi, there is no better place to do it!
