was founded after many inebriated conversations between two guys that are fond of Japanese culture and art, as well as a love for techno, house and every weird electronic sound in between. After many (blurry) nights spent down in Tokyo Sing Song located conveniently in the Marly Bar Basement in Newtown, we felt it most appropriate to hone in on our interests and along with the overall aesthetic of

the venue being super kawaii we figured f*ck it let's throw a party, which has an all inclusive, no d*ckheads and no intimidation policy as well as no lock-outs and of course full of some bent techno to keep us dancing until the early morning. "Doki Doki" roughly translates to excited, nervous, the sound of rhythm or a heart beating, so we felt it was a perfect match for a basement full of sweaty humans with a background full of ~thumping~ beats. Doki Doki is alive on Friday nights on a bi-monthly basis at Tokyo Sing Song (Basement of Marlborough Hotel in Newtown) and we host some of Sydney's best up and coming house/techno Djs and producers so you will always be treated to an amazing aural experience each and every visit.
