When Cultures Connect - Magic Happens!
Our students don’t just visit areas – they become part of them. Through music, laughter, dance, and shared experiences, this unforgettable cultural exchange brought young people together across borders to celebrate culture, connection, and community.
This is what learning through travel truly looks like.

A heartfelt reflection from Jack C., one of the 101 incredible OHC boys who traveled to Cambodia in April 2025.
From tuk-tuk rides to temple tours, and giving back through service at a La Sallian school in Phnom Penh, the experience was truly life-changing.

All 101 OHC boys have now returned safely to their families after an unforgettable journey—and what a journey it has been.
For over fifteen years, it has been my privilege to organise and accompany Oakhill tours, and each year I’m reminded just how powerful these experiences are. From building classrooms and local homes, to repainting schools, planting trees, delivering school supplies, and serving meals to students in village communities—these young men continue to make a real and lasting difference.
I’ve had the honour of walking alongside so many Oakhill groups over the years, and it never ceases to inspire me—the generosity, humility, and willingness to serve that these students bring with them.
To the 2025 team of boys and staff: thank you for continuing this incredible legacy with such heart and commitment. You’ve not only given back, but you’ve also grown in ways that will no doubt shape your future.
Oakhill College, thank you for your continued trust. It’s been one of the great privileges of my life to be part of this journey with you.

Over two incredible days, 101 Oakhill boys and 13 dedicated staff rolled up their sleeves to serve at a La Sallian School in Phnom Penh. From concreting to repainting classrooms, their hard work will leave a lasting impact on a school that supports over 500 local students.
A huge thank you to the boys for not only their service but for raising money leading up to the trip, carrying over donated uniforms, school supplies, and stationery. Your generosity, spirit, and solidarity have made a real difference.

Today was a meaningful day for the OHC boys in Phnom Penh!
Year 9 students put on their working gloves and spent the day doing community service at a La Sallian school, supporting the incredible work of the Brothers’ Mission. It was a chance to give back, connect with local students, and reflect on the power of service.
Meanwhile, the Year 10 boys explored the vibrant streets of Phnom Penh—diving into the city’s rich history, culture, and daily life.
Two powerful learning experiences, one unforgettable day.

Vietnam School Tours was founded by Tram and Brett Macdouall. Together they ensure that each group travelling with Vietnam School Tours receives the “hands-on” attention required to make the experience meaningful and memorable.
Tram’s parents are Vietnamese and arrived in Australia as refugees in 1980 (her brother is comedian Anh Do, author of the best-selling book “The Happiest Refugee”), so she brings an insider’s knowledge to a country that is very close to her heart. Tram's ability to fluently speak, read, and write Vietnamese ensures that all components of each trip are fully understood by all and nothing is left to chance.
Brett was a former teacher and Assistant Principal who has been taking school students on tours to Vietnam and Cambodia for over 15 years. He, like Tram, knows exactly the requirements, the difficulties, and the risks of being responsible for a group of students in a foreign country.
Most importantly, Vietnam School Tours tailors each itinerary to personally suit the requirements of each group. This ensures that each school will fulfil their targeted outcomes while students experience the very best of international travel through an educational lens.
Students traveling with Vietnam School Tours will immerse in the 4C's - Culture, Community, Challenge and Curriculum - while broaden perspectives, boosting confidence and trying new things.
Don't settle. Contact Vietnam School Tours for the very best student centred travel experiences to Vietnam and Cambodia. You will not be disappointed.
