Imagine your child could not access healthcare? A child born in Australia had been unable to get medical treatment because he was born after his parents protection visa was refused. Parents are waiting for the Administrative Appeals Tribunal to decide on their matter but as the child is not apart of that matter the Tribunal was unable to issue the child with the required letter to apply for Medicare. Despite the many attempts by the parents to contact the Department of Home Affairs for assistance the health and safety of this child was caught in bureaucratic red tape ! After having pursued this matter for some time, and through much persistence we are pleased to advise that Home Affairs has now approved this child to be eligible for Medicare and he will be able to get the medical treatment he so desperately needs.
