C7-C8 nerve root compromise refers to the impairment or irritation of the nerve roots exiting the spinal column at the C7 and C8 levels of the cervical spine. This condition can lead to symptoms such as pain, weakness, numbness, and tingling that radiate from the neck into the shoulders, arms, and hands, particularly affecting the regions innervated by these nerve roots. The C7 nerve root commonly affects the triceps, the back of the arm, and the middle finger, while the C8 nerve root influences the intrinsic muscles of the hand, the little finger, and part of the forearm.
Diagnosis and Treatment
Diagnosis typically involves a combination of soft tissue releases away from the joint involved.
Rotation stretches and manual therapy.
Cervical traction
