Our Paddle Excursion Program provides sit-on-top, two-person, inflatable kayaks that provide guests with an intimate, water-level experience in unforgettable locations in both the Arctic and Antarctica. These stable, rugged and comfortable crafts are an ideal way to see the polar regions from a different perspective. On-ship, you'll be provided with instruction and equipment including dry suits, personal flotation devices (PFDs), and waterproof gloves. Experienced guides will lead you safely throughout the paddling excursion. Your group will always be es**rted by a safety driver in another kayak who will stay close by to provide additional support. I love river cruising, because of some of the obvious reasons, and some of the not-so-obvious reasons.

Egypt – Abu Simbel
I consider my visit to Abu Simbel, as my top travel highlight.

Ramses the great Pharoah of Egypt, declared himself a god, and built the Temple at Abu Simbel, about 1240 B.C.

Abu Simbel is two temples, carved into the side of a mountain, containing four enormous statues of the seated pharoah Ramses II, at the entrance, each about 22 metres high.

So my advice to you, if you happen to be in Egypt, do try to visit Abu Simbel. You will be so pleased that you have made the effort to see this amazing site.

GIZA EGYPT
Giza is one of the largest cities in Egypt, and it’s right next to Cairo. Giza is also one of the locations of the pyramids.

Giza is also the location of the sphinx.

It was hard to believe that the pyramids were so close to Cairo. One can spend the whole day looking at the pyramids. as it was so fascinating and interesting.

I found myself sitting on a rock, looking at the pyramids for about an hour, and just sat in wonderment at the creation of these amazing structures, that were built thousands of years ago. The rocks that were used were enormous, and of course, the tools and equipment were crude, compared to those of today.

If you can ever visit Egypt, go.

An unbelievable country is rich with history.

The Nile River Cruise is a wonderful way to see Egypt.
