Catch international touring export and rising star Anna Smyrk on home soil on Sunday April 28 at an all ages show on the Central Coast, along with emerging artist Zailya.

With a voice described as ‘truly astonishing’ by Rolling Stone, Anna Smyrk is a powerful singer and songmaker from Naarm (Melbourne, Australia). Her songs are anthemic indie bombshells, pairing vulnerable lyrics with explosive arrangements and undeniable hooks.​ The last 12 months have been massive for Anna, with highlights including supporting Birds of Tokyo and Tim Rogers, touring North America and Europe, official showcases at NXNE (Canada), Folk Alliance International (USA) and Live at Heart (Sweden) and recording a new EP in Nashville with award-winning producers Jake Finch and Collin Pastore (Lucy Dacus).

Zailya is a 21-year old Australian/Swiss/Congolese singer-songwriter, producing music with a mix of Pop, Soul, RnB and Folk influences. Moving from Switzerland to Australia at the age of 8, Zailya combined her native French with Australian English. This cultural diversity is evident in the unique quality to her singing voice and sound. Zailya is releasing a song each month in 2024 leading up to the release of her debut album.

Are you an artist planning to tour in 2024? Applications close on March 5th for the Contemporary Music touring program. This grant provides up to $50,000 to support national tours by musicians performing original contemporary music.

Tours that include regional and remote destinations, or which assist performers residing in regional and remote areas to tour, are a priority for funding. Grants are available from $5,000 to $50,000, depending on the number of tour venues or locations in regional or remote areas.

Music for the Voice has launched with a joint statement pledging support for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament. We are a proud signatory to the statement.

We respect there are varying views on the matter and many people are still working out their position or will keep their views private. We have decided to make this public statement to show our commitment to the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

With the date fast approaching, we urge anyone reading this to take the time to educate yourself, ensure you are enrolled to vote, and have healthy conversations about the importance of policies like this that impact and shape our future in Australia.
